1) Well, all of a sudden I'm not nearly as optimistic about the OL as I had been... It is STILL a work in progress, and I HOPE we will continue to see improvement.
2) ALL OF A SUDDEN, the RB position (which yesterday morning seemed STOCKED with talent), today, seems really thin. I'm not expecting Lynch to be back for a while, and don't expect Barkley to play against Army... and the remaining backs are smallish... I think using them to probe the corners of a defense, or in pass patterns, where they can catch and run are GOOD options, but running them inside too often is a mistake, and I think we need ONE of the other two Frosh RB's to be activated, and the Army game would be a GREAT place to get their feet wet.
3) I sure hope Franklin is holding back a good part of the playbook, because for the life of me I don't know why he's not using a number of viable options. Yesterday I saw a PSU WR slant across the middle for a touchdown, and wondered WHERE has that play been, ALSO, a couple swing passes to RB's out of the backfield, and using the TE's some down the middle... GREAT... I hope to see MUCH more of that... WHERE has it been to THIS point... is Franklin holding some play BACK for B1G competition? Seems reasonable... I'm just HOPING it's true.
