That's fine...as for how you guys are treated on the lair. I wish I had a say in it....but, I don't. I enjoy discussing Pa. Football and I think it is a shame it always turns into a p*ssing match about child rape and lack of attendence at Heinz.

One could argue that much of what is said by Pitt trolls about the former has no basis in fact, while what is said by our posters about the latter is obvious for all to see, but I get your point. Unfortunately, as you acknowledge, if you show up here with your handle, you are likely going to get hammered. If I went to your board with a similar name what could I expect? I really don't understand why you want to be here anyway. It would be different if we played you this year. Why not realize the lay of the land....go back to the Lair...and come back next year a week before the game? Then, I think things will be very interesting.

Easy, I'm a fan of Pa. Football. I not only root for Pitt but for PSU. Only I favor one over the other. I will be honest with you. I was not a Paterno fan...but I am a fan of the school. I hope both schools attain Top Ten status regularly.

Well, you obviously know you are the rare exception on both sides, and if you post here somewhat regularly, you may, over time, be recognized for the quality of your posts and not by the hubris of your handle. We'll see.

First, I find that there are very few people that are actively arguing or theorizing that JS is innocent. There are some, but they seem to be very few. From what I've read, many have argued that JS received very poor defense, as well as a number of actions by the Judge in the case as well as the investigators that at a minimum to raise questions as to whether or not he received a fair trial.

In response, I see a small number of posters that seem to treat any statements by the aforementioned as though those making the statements are claiming that JS is innocent. IMHO, that is an inaccurate accusation. It gets even worse when the two sides do not engage in a healthy debate, but basically talk right past each other, and avoid responding to the substances of the issues raised by either side.

I agree that the threads about this subject have been rather embarrassing, though I'm embarrassed for the inability of folks to stick to what is being argued, as opposed to providing counter arguments that are extreme interpretations of what is being discussed.

Well said, Tom. Unfortunately, people who are here just to argue (trolls) cannot see the distinction. To them, stating that jerry received a poor defense and did not get a fair trial and deserves his constitutional right to a new and fair trial equates to "jerry is innocent". They don't get the distinction and they don't want to get the distinction.

I love how I am brought up in that thread for "wanting Pitt is #1 or Pitt-Chains banned" It's the offseason. I loved having him here. It was hilarious. I was banned on pantherlair in about 10 minutes. If you want to drive a Pitt fan nuts, just post Pitt's record between 1950-1975 then from 1982- current. Many of them do not realize outside of 7 years, Pitt has been mediocre and will continue to be. They can't handle the truth
