And it’s automatic - the second anyone (announcer, rules expert, etc) takes a look they immediately say it won’t be a catch. Because it isn’t - except that 1 ****ing timewatching at my brother-in-laws today and I told him it would be ruled OOB. he kept insisting “he got his second toe in.” Only time I’ve ever seen it ruled a good catch was Avant for michy back in 2005.
I wonder how many PSU fans were watching that game and telling everyone present about the one time it was considered a catch (hand raised).Incomplete - as it should be
That tells you what you need to know about the play. The play was not important. The call screwing Penn State was. So the review booth was supporting the ref that did the screwing. Just typical big ten refs inserting their bias into a game and putting Penn State in their place. But the call for a reception on a bounced ball by Ohio state was worse.Just to expand, the most ridiculous part was not just that Avant was incorrectly called in, but the play wasn’t even reviewed despite being an obvious “close enough to warrant a look” play.
to me the more ridiculous part was that there were Penn State fans defending the call on AudiblesJust to expand, the most ridiculous part was not just that Avant was incorrectly called in, but the play wasn’t even reviewed despite being an obvious “close enough to warrant a look” play.
