My wife loves Draft Day! I like it too, but she will watch it on random days. When I talked her into watching the actual NFL draft coverage, she was dissapointed.Draft Day? Lol, sorry. Couldn’t even type it without laughing.

My Top three are in Alphabetical order. "All the right moves". "Everybody's All American". "Remember the Titans". "Any Given Sunday" was good also. "Brian's Song" has to be considered. "Friday Night Lights" also is in the mix. Of couse many around the country would consider "Rudy". You have "North Dallas Forty". "The Waterboy". How about "Heaven can wait". "The Longest Yard". Wow there goes one that I might put in my top five that I was not thinking about.
Sequel to the North Dallas Forty!I'm fairly certain that isn't a football movie, however, it has plenty of "scoring" in it.
Sort of football...."The Fortune Cookie".My Top three are in Alphabetical order. "All the right moves". "Everybody's All American". "Remember the Titans". "Any Given Sunday" was good also. Couple friends here in Baltimore were in the flick as opposing or bench guys.no love for The Replacements? yeah, there were many really obvious mistakes on the actual football stuff, but it was hilarious
5 that's more like 11, But who's counting? My Top three are in Alphabetical order. "All the right moves". "Everybody's All American". "Remember the Titans". "Any Given Sunday" was good also. DDD was released in 1978, and NDF in 1979. So, NDF is the sequel. Who knew?Sequel to the North Dallas Forty!
What about Jerry Maguire? That's a pretty good football movie. Show me the money!!!!What about Jerry Maguire? That's a pretty good football movie.
Saw Kathy Ireland about ten years ago in the Crystal Palace in Disney World. Absolute knockout. Just having lunch with her non-descript husband and kids. It's actually Necessary Roughness, with Scott Bakula as QB of the Texas State University Fightin' Armadillos and Kathy Ireland as the placekicker.

I liked Johnny Be Good. Surprised it rated so low (4.6 IMDB - probably a 7 or so for me). All the Right Moves was first on his list. It gets a 5.9 on IMDB, but probably ranks higher among people who grew up in Western Pa. I give it more like a 7-8. Kind of predictable, but a good cast and it gave a pretty good feel for growing up in a depressed area of Western Pa. and showing why football can be such a big deal to some. Remember reading the call for extras and wanting someone to take me, but it was about 90 minutes away or so and no one wanted to take me. I don't remember if it mentioned Tom Cruise or Lea Thompson were going to be in it. It just sounded cool that they were doing a football movie in Johnstown. It was one of the first leading roles for both. If any of you were in it I'm jealous.Terrible rating but I always liked Johnny Be Good
Another I didn't see listed was All The Right Moves
On the negative side you also have Concussion
A great one. That might be a top 5 candidate. Wow very good.School Ties.
Definitely liked your choice of "Express".No particular order 1. The Express 2. Rudy 3. Remember The Titans 4. Friday night lights 5. Varsity Blues - Honorable Mention - Invincible
How could I forget. It should get top 5 consideration.Something For Joey.
Both are top 5 worthy.North Dallas Forty and The Longest Yard are #1 and #2.
I would say NDF is easily in Rudy's league. I would have it in my top 7 for sure.Better than Rudy? Really?![]()
Can you believe I have never seen SLP. I have to check it out.1. Invincible
2. Silver Linings Playbook
3. Friday Night Lights
4. Remember the Titans
5. Rudy
The first two because they cover the neurosis of Philadelphia Eagles fans. Thank you.
Oh I think that is a great flick highlighting Pennslyvania high school football in the fading glory era of coal and mill towns. Cruise and Nelson are perfect adversaries. Oh and Lea Thompson was a little cutie also. I have it over Varsity blues and Friday night lights in the high achool movie category. All the Right Moves????

Liked leathernecks.I thought the Leathernecks was great. I thought it may have been modeled after the Pottsville Maroons, who the NFL screwed out of their championship
Good one. The football scene was great.M.A.S.H
I sat down to catch up on some work (I'm a night owl) and Prime Video had Johnny Be Good. This scene outside Johnny's home had me laughing hard:I liked Johnny Be Good. I lived in the Johnstown area when it was made. It was big news locally, but it was a horrifically bad movie. Yes, Lea Thompson was a hottie, but her choice of scripts is questionable, given that she also appeared in Howard The Duck.Oh I think that is a great flick highlighting Pennslyvania high school football in the fading glory era of coal and mill towns. I sat down to catch up on some work (I'm a night owl) and Prime Video had Johnny Be Good. This scene outside Johnny's home had me laughing hard:
Alabama Booster: Alabama is where you should be.
Penn State Booster: Penn State is always in the Top 10. We kicked Alabama's butt last year. (shove Bama booster in chest)
Alabama Booster: That was one game (shoves back). It's freezing at Penn State. (another shove)
Penn State Booster: It's a normal climate. (shoves back)
Alabama Booster: Normal? Normal if you're a seal or an eskimo! (shoves back)
Penn State Booster: (Grabs jacket) It's good to see the seasons change. It's GOOD TO SEE THE SEASONS CHANGE! (both grabbing at the other)
In that case, I suppose "Knute Rockne All American" is totally out-of-bounds,Rudy is South Bend Community College propaganda, worthy of something Joseph Goebbels or the former Soviet Union would produce. Everything about that sh*t hole is as hypocritical and phony as the Catholic Church itself (I say that as a former catholic).
F*ck Rudy, and f*ck SBCC.
