On Thursday night, Ronnie Bell announced he was decommitting from the Missouri State basketball program to pursue a future in college football.
It appears that move might be working out for him.
Bell tweeted Saturday morning that the University of Michigan offered him a scholarship to play football.
The wide receiver was one of three to sign with the Missouri State men's basketball team during the early signing period.
A 6-foot-1 guard from Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Bell tweeted Thursday night he was opening up his recruiting process and that football was what he wanted to pursue.
Bell was a star wide receiver while bringing in 150 receptions, 2,300 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns during his high school football career. He was also given the Thomas A. Simone Award as the top football player in Kansas City on Dec. 5.
