BSD had a great point. On USC's 2 point conversion. Darnold falls down and his knee is an inch off the ground. If he is down, USC is behind by 9, two scores, late in the game. That means PSU isn't throwing long bombs with under a minute to go.

Game of inches.

Yup. Everything worked for Darnold and USC. Reminded me of Bortles and UCF a few years ago.

As I watched the replay I was so hoping that his knee touched and there'd be a review.

If USC did not make the 2-point conversion they would have trailed by 16 points after PSU's next TD and would have needed 2-point conversions after each of their next two TDs to tie the game.

I think it is very unlikely they would have converted twice. In retrospect, it was a smart move by USC to go for two when they did. I think it caught PSU off guard whereas they would have been more prepared later in the game.

I can't decide if Darnold's near slip made the conversion harder or easier. Looked like a couple of PSU guys moved forward after his recovery.

I wonder if anyone was downfield illegally once it broke down, but didn't see a good replay. At least 5 guys were in the endzone.

Yes, there was a play - on the jump pass I believe - where it seemed his knee touched the turf. No replay so I couldn't be sure.

Fluke play...we lost on two fluke plays (or does that only apply when OSU loses?).
