Before the 2016 season, I spoke with friends about the status of the program overall coming out of sanctions from a player talent level, depth levels, recruiting impacts, X&Os, and coaching ability - everything surrounding the program was discussed. As we began predicting the future, we all agreed that 2018 would be the year that we would see them rebound from the sanctions in all the areas.
Of course, although hopeful, no one predicted the 2016 or 2017 season - but here we are ahead of my predicted schedule of progress.
What year did you guys think we would be back to a national stage (Top5-10 annual ranking, compete for B1G championships, get top 5 recruiting classes)?
Does anyone predict a playoff berth in the near future? a NC?
