Tyler doesn't get an invite to NY.

Definitely sucks...was always going to be tough for a TE to make it in NY. He needed a huge day vs Ohio State and probably 2 TDs weekly. His lack of crazy video game number before USC hurt his chances. Lots of angry people right now but it was a two man race anyway. Gabriel and Ward get a free trip

The Heisman Trophy, like many things in our modern society, is not what it once was.
The Heisman trophy was always kind of a joke. For many years the Maxwell Award named the better player - once it got away from its Philadelphia centric roots. The Maxwell at least valued more than 2 positions. Even recognizing defensive players once in awhile

Just as long as he wins the Mackey Award, which he should.

Does anybody believe that Carter has any chance to win any of the trophies for which he’s a finalist?
Hopefully he wins, he’s the most complete tight end in the country. Don’t know if anybody noticed but, remember that tight end that we couldn’t cover against Bowling Green, he finished with 100 catches and 1300 yards this year.

That TE people were angry ESPN had as a midyear All-American? Lol
Warren should still win it. I just wish we involved him more early in the year and it wouldn't even be a debate.

That sucks!!
Tyler had his opportunities against the Ducks on Saturday night.

That pass that he could not come up with going down the sideline in the 1st half as well as the one down the middle in the 2nd half out of an unbalanced line.

IMO, if he makes those 2 catches it not only changes the complexion of the game Saturday night but would have earned him an invite to NYC.

But it was not meant to be.

And there are still bigger prizes available to be won.

True but him not getting invited is pure BS. That trophy has become a joke.
Who that was invited do you have a problem with that this is a joke?
Travis Hunter is the obvious winner, Jeanty had a record setting year, while Ward and Gabriel are the best QBs with video game like numbers
Skattebo probably has a better argument than Warren
Warren average about 100 yards a game with a total of 11 TDs--he better win the Mackey but the Heisman? We really needed to use him in a way to showcase him for this kind of aware. The start of the year killed him.

Other than the constant posing, which I hate and would make me consider not voting for him, I probably would vote for Hunter, as he contributed greatly both on offense and defense.

Hunter's rare. We may never see anything like that again

A little off topic, Tyler Warren related anyway.

Warren played in the Little League World Series

I find it hard to believe. The guy is selfless and plays at a high level in every phase of the game. Shit, put him in at LB.
He is the epitome of what the trophy is said to be for. But instead, it has become a senseless beauty pageant for QB's and WR's governed/driven by media love fests.
