Watching Michigan spring game (only bc I have literally nothing to do).

-Attendance is poor (guessing @30k based on B10 pictures of the stadium) but when you’ve won that many National championships I guess it doesn’t mean that much. What will PSU draw this year?
-wondering if BTN will broadcast our entire spring game as they did for UM?

Is 30k watching a practice supposed to be a bad thing?
Honest question--what do most schools get?
Personally I wouldn't go to a spring game if I was paid to

We get double. Others get even more.

It’s a fun event. You would hate it. Stay home.
I don't watch sports for "a fun event"--I watch sports for competition.
If I want a "fun event" I'll take the kids to the circus or a movie.
Honestly, what makes the event "fun"?
How many schools would you say get more than 30k? A dozen?

What does it matter? Why does everyone have to agree with you? Why does everyone have follow your dictates?

Don’t go. Have fun. Enjoy life. It is too short.
I ignore that poster so I don't see his posts but let me guess, he doesn't want Penn State fans to show up to our blue-white game? He's not a PSU fan and very predictable.

Every SEC school plus a handful more like psu and osu.

So it's not actually a fun event--just something you enjoy--it's okay to say that.
That's not agreeing with me but you're trying to say I'm wrong for not caring about it. It's like bowl games--it has no meaning but if you'd like to spend money on it go ahead just don't criticize others for not agreeing which is why this thread is doing

What is deeply wrong with a person that has to argue endlessly about what is fun or not? You need help. And you have my sympathies for such a putrid life.

I'm just trying to understand what you and other believe make it fun?
I mean, people like going to watch the Steelers at training camp--they find that fun due to interacting with players. I have no interest it that but it's good for them

I will say that I went to a few B/W games. It was ‘fun’ to get autographs, see the players up close, and PSU does a good job with it. For those reasons I enjoyed being there.

Having said that, I’m more interested now seeing young players improve and showing what they can do (ie Allar and Pribula this year). Because of that I’ll just watch on tv (and hope BTN gives a fair amount of air time). Being that it’s not a real game changed things for me over time in regards to wanting to be there.

See-that's a fair response. I don't care about autographs and stuff like that but if you (and others) do then that's a reason for going.

It does seem low for that program. Wonder what ole dickhead thinks
Alabama had slightly over 31k last year. It doesn't seem low to me
Yes, we're going to kill that number (probably double it) but that's not a bad show

You know what’s fun pretending to be a Penn State fan then arguing with every real fan on a message board especially when something doesn’t go the teams way. Ultimate loser

Confused by this. When Penn State lost to Texas (March Madness) and Michigan (men's hockey) I was nothing but supportive of both teams runs and especially the hockey team's future.

Even when we lost to Michigan and Ohio State I said nothing negative. We won the games we should have and lost the ones I expected to lose.

When have I ever said something that didn't go our way since Franklin's poor 2021?

What makes it a fun event? To you...
Jesus Lando, the event to you seems like some kind of road kill.

I have always enjoyed the excitement of talking to families who have never been to Beaver Stadium and seeing their kids intermingled and conversing with the football players.

To so many of the Penn State fans that don't have the cash for season tickets, this is the only opportunity to see their team in person...At BEAVER STADIUM, which is a wonderful experience in itself.

And if you enjoy that (or if they do) great but it's not a real game at Beaver Stadium. Again, I don't see the "fun" in it but if you do that's great.

I quit......
think you're missing the point.
People and their families that DON'T have the money to purchase season tickets can enjoy an experience at Beaver Stadium and meet players, watch the Blue Band, cheerleaders, etc.

I'm not missing the point...that's great if they want to do it. That's not getting 67k or whatever we had last year

Lando Comando wrapped too tight for living of any sort , have a cocktail mate

"Virtually every game....even life is meaningless...."
How are most games meaningless? See college basketball...because of the large playoff format tons of games are meaningful as teams fight for seeding and a playoff birth unlike college football with a four team playoff about half the teams are eliminated before they even play a game and only about 15-16 are alive after mid October.

You can fairly criticize me for a lot of things but pretending bowl games and a literal scrimmage have meaning are two of them. It's okay though...the playoff goes to 12 soon then hopefully will double that within a decade and I'll be happy while many others will be crying about how it's all just a business despite that being true for about 4 decades now.

And some people live lives that are meaningless but most aren't.

I like how he has these arguments with himself in an attempt to show he's a PSU fan...... which he absolutely isn't. He isn't crazy, he's just a childish douche posing as a PSU fan to troll.
With myself? How does one argue with themselves? Others have to engage like you do.

And this whole "he's not a Penn State fan" is tired. Come up with a better argument. Why would I be discussing hockey and volleyball if I wasn't a fan? If I was a fan of another school I'd probably be criticizing their fan base as well. Almost wish I was a ND fan so I could bash them constantly.
