An offensive onslaught from UMass and a bit of revenge for a former Penn State player led the Minutemen to a blowout defeat of Micah Shrewsberry and Penn State Monday night.

LOOOOOOONG YEAR COMING........Gotta give him time till his recruits get here.

That was an embarrassment. When we were in the A-10 with UMASS from 83-91 recruiting same level players, we NEVER came close to a lose like this one. Pretty sure that since joining the BIGTEN we have NEVER lost to a non POWER 5 league opponent by over 20 points.
Where have you gone Jim Ferry, PSU nation turns their lonely eyes to you!

This was brutal, but our roster is made up of mid-major transfers. We are desperately lacking scorers. This year maybe brutal, but better days are on the horizon. If PC was around this year, this team would have not been too bad. But, the incoming recruiting class would not be the same.

Patience…much better times ahead.

First two game and I've seen almost nothing out of the transfers that came in. If Harrar, Lundy, Sessoms and Dread are not on scoring wise it looks like we are screwed. It also looks like the transfers are soft on defense. B10 is a big boy game, I'm not sure if they are up to it. Hopefully things improve.

It seems like when moribund programs are turned around like when Pitt became a Big East power in the early 2000s, it begins with playing tough defense. You would think that a talent-challenged team like PSU, that plays in a conference in which close to a third or more of the schools are ranked at any one time, would focus on defense. However, this program never seems to want to do that or be capable of doing that.
