UNC offers Belichick job

I can't see this working out well for UNC.
It could--he's going to run this like a minor league team--he's going to recruit top players on other teams and tell them he's going to get them to the NFL and prepare them so they play like Bo Nix not Caleb Williams once they get there
For example, if I'm a QB that wants to play on Sundays I'm going there. If I was Allar or Arch or Iamaleava or Klubnik I'm literally offering to pay him to take me
Then his son takes over when he retires and continues it.
This is a great plan for UNC--not sure about BB but for UNC it's amazing

I think this bodes well for PSU in the QB sweepstakes.
I'm not sure about this. If he wanted to play for Mack Brown, and was caught off guard with Mack Brown being fired, then who knows of his opinion to play for Bill Belichick.

Belichick isn't going to be playing a freshman QB IMO
He's going to look for a pro-style QB that they can prep for the league.
They'll be the team that signs the "Bo Nix" or "Cam Ward" every year but on a higher level.

Agree. He is going to come in as the Primetime coach east and the coach that developed Tom Brady.

This will be a disaster for UNC. Aside from the fact that he has no experience coaching at the college level, he is out the door as soon as he is offered an attractive NFL head coaching job.

I think he's a good coach but Tom Brady didn't develop because of BB. And as soon as Tom left New England stunk. He's a defensive coach - he was never known as an offensive coach or a QB whisperer.
He's too old and this generation of players will drive him nuts.

well, it is interesting.

Prime took the blinders off and has advanced the Colorado program by turning his back on the traditional college football role. By that I mean the Paterno way: young boys become men in a program that prepares them for life after college knowing few will every play in the NFL.

Belichick has already stated that NC will be a professional team, and NFL-like team, at the college level. He has stated that the kids will be in an NFL preparatory program. So he will be selling his influence in the NFL and he will be on the path to NFL fame, fortune, and glory. I am sure he'll show them his NFL rings. He'll be great at building that program, IMHO, at least for a few years.

well, there are sales, marketing, and reality. They don't always intersect.

why is that?
He won a bunch of Super Bowls with great defenses and a guy named Tom Brady under center. He is not known as a QB whisperer or offensive minded coach. He is about 800 years old and has a miserable demeanor. Why would an 18-year-old want a part of that? What young QB thinks that BB is going to coach him up into being the next Tom Brady? Maybe he can coach him up into being the next Mac Jones or Bailey Zappe too. If his parents have paid attention to BB's persona over the years, they may have some serious reservations about their son's welfare under that kind of "tutelage".

Exactly - and what has his son done? Washington looked terrible this year. This move makes no sense for either party. Grampa will be thrilled when Bill sit's in a his grandson living room as Billy tries to recruit him but the recruit will likely have no idea who he is.

Your belief truly is that guys won't want to play for one of the greatest NFL coaches of all time?

I think kids will look at this move and say, is there another coach in the country with this kind of success and knowledge of the game. I guess we'll have to wait and see but I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be a great success in turning NC's program into a dangerous team!

I cannot believe at his age that he would be interested in kissing the rear ends of these entitled kids 24/7 365. I don’t think it works, but it’s certainly interesting.
