Update: Well Dwumfour just beat me to the punch for a prediction on him. Good to have him on board, looks like he has the physique to add a lot more weight and develop into more of a AJ guy. He has said in interviews he likes 3 tech better, but I think a few years in the program and he'll be more a gap clogger. He is listed as a "Best Friend" of Rashan Gary in multiple nj.com articles. Take it for what you will, but they played together before both transferring to private schools.

On to who's still out there. Well I moved basically everyone off of commit watch, but I did move Ellison Jordan up. Whenever kids give interviews on their final 3 or 5, or whatever, I think it is always telling which school they talk about the most and reference the most people at, and in his few comments Penn State seemed to be talked about the most. We'll see but I feel Simmons is a huge factor in his recruitment. I move Nordin up to very good chance too, he has said he has been in contact with Gillikin and we could have another specialist very soon. I have one of those two or Pryts or Ferns as next. I moved Pryts down since he's out west this weekend and we'll see what happens there (re: weird rumors; I've never heard of a 17 y/o being swayed by who's on the schools governing board). It will be interesting to see if we do land Jordan soon, what Wheeler will do knowing we are still after Dioubate and Gary (we'd obviously take Gary even if we already had 4 DT committed). I added Michigan DE Joseph to the in the battle. I think Colon is still UNC bound. I moved pipe dreams Boudreaux and Farrell (seems OSU is going to make room for him) down. I still maintain that with the effort the staff is putting in with this many kids including specialists that they must believe they will get to 25 schollies in this class, one way or another. More props to Simmons for having a PUNTER, a PUNTER name him a top factor in getting him to PSU. Kid is one of the better recruiters we've had, and he's a beast of a player.
Dream of the Dline class we may be bringing in: Simmons, Dwumfour, Jordan, Dioubate, Wheeler, Gary, Betiku. Would suck to be a Big Ten QB not playing for the Nits.

Commit Watch:
4* DT Jordan

Very Good Chance:
4* S Pryts, 4* CB Hamlin, 4* LB Ferns, 4* DL Dioubate, 4* DE Betiku, 3* OLB Hudson, 3* OLB Brown, 3* OLB Toney, 3* DT Wheeler, 3* K Nordin

In The Battle:
4* WR Nixon, 4* WR Diggs, 4* ATH Fuller, 4* TE Angeline, 4* DE Johnson, 4* DE Joseph, 3* DT Colon, 3* OT Niang, 3* DT Kamara, 3* WR Patterson, JC DT Chavis, JC DT Tanielu

Work Left To Do:
5* DT Gary, 4* WR Smothers, 4* OG Boudreaux, 4* TE Farrell, 3* OLB Hansford

Have To Get Really Lucky:
4* OT Williams, 4* OG Davis, 4* TE Upshur, 4* DE Kareem, 4* WR Corley, 4* WR Hawkins, 3* CB Rene

My opinion on where we stand with recruits based on rumors, where the coaching staff has made serious effort, offers, tweets (sometimes) and gut feeling. My categories(and their meanings) are Commit Watch (changed from Locks as to not offend recruiting gods), Very good chance(we sit very well with the recruit and are either the leader or perceived leader), In the Battle(We have a good shot and are equal to others or just slightly behind), Work left to do(there is another perceived leader or little information known on recruits intentions), Have to get really lucky(small chance to little to none).

I should add I'm not sure what is going to happen with Hill.

Appreciate the updates as always. Jordan, Ferns, & Dioubate are still the most critical targets IMO.

Did U forget Zack Adams sir??

I say we get him. How about you?

Personally, I'd move Pryts and Betiku down and Angeline and Hansford up.
Why are you low of Betiku? He's Lavar's son and has said we're in his top two basically.

I don't believe the Pryts stuff, at least not until he says something himself that makes me believe he is weighing the Joe stuff in his decision. Could be wrong but I just can't see a 17 year old really caring about the BOT.

You could make a solid case for putting Hansford in in the battle after last weekend.

I think it's like 80/20 UCLA/PSU. Don't think we get him out of California. Too much smoke on Pryts for me to be optimistic.

He's not Lavar's son. Lavar is his legal guardian.

Check Twitter, he calls him dad. To clarify I know he's not his biological son.

Since Beitku's father is still alive and hasn't given Beitku up for adoption, I don't think he can be called Lavar's son.

Lavar may have asked him to call him "dad", rather than Lavar or Hey You, but it still does not make him Lavar's son.

Guys, must we split hairs?

Regardless of how the Pryts family feels about what happened to Joe, all that matters in this discussion is what school Andrew favors and right now we are third at best behind Michigan and Notre Dame.

I hope you know more on Pryts than our mods do (I'm a Michigan guy Btw) because we Pryts hasn't been a kid they've been saying we are really in the game for

Might very well be.

Since we don't have a time machine, and cannot go back in time to stop those people from hurting so many of us who loved Joe, we can't stop it. Good luck to andrew in that case wherever he goes, and we pick ourselves up and keep fighting. We are top 12 right now in recruiting, with most every program ahead of us with many more commits than we have. Keep faith in the staff and keep faith in the program. James Franklin did not have a damn thing to do with how Andrew's father feels, bottom line

You are right...its ohio st and ND that lead for Pryts...not Michigan. Not sure what I was thinking when I wrote that.
