Upsets in the Cael Era

I’ve read of your love for the team. I think it was in a book called, “Love in the Time of Cael Era”, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. :)
I can’t believe I am seeing a reference from Gabriel Garcia Marquez, in the last 30 years or so since I graduated there is only one book I haven’t been able to finish and it was 100 years of solitude. I tried 3 different times only due to the acclaim that he has received and still couldn’t.

Nine of ten live and in-person...Nolf vs IMar on BTN. Doesn't really matter, we are blessed to be able to see so many of the guy's bouts.

Anyone that sees the bouts in person/watches on tv or streaming/listens to JB on the radio have been witness to the greatest college wrestling performances since the glory days of Iowa and Oklahoma St. Good for the sport...

Quentin over #1 Honeycutt in 2011 from the 9 seed was huge!

After Q's injury at the NLO his RS Soph year pretty much ALL of his wins at BIGs and NCAAs that year were HUGE upsets. At the end of the regular season it looked like he might not even qualify for NCAAs. Instead he won BIGs and NCAAs and we won the team title at both, which we don;t do without Q. THANK YOU Q.

For me it's Nolf-IMAR. Not so much that it was an upset, but because how he dominated IMAR in all positions. That was the first time and only time I can remember in college seeing IMAR getting whooped in all positions.

how about Q's run through the Big Ten tournament his soph. year (2011)? He was an 8 seed and beat the following on his way to the title:
1. Travis Rutt
5. Tony Dallago
2. Kevin Steinhaus

and he followed that up as a 9 seed at the NCAA tournament beating the following on his way to the title:
8. Kevin Steinhaus
1. Christopher Honeycutt
12. Grant Gambrall
2. Robert Hamlin

All the posts here have been about individual matches but what about last years win over Ohio State? With Nolf out, we were considered the underdogs but it was truly a complete team effort that led to a big win that Penn State fans will never forget..
