Urban Meyer will...

If you don't think this will hurt their recruiting with "quality" student athletes then this is one of those RARE times- you're wrong!

Didn't people say the Sandusky scandal would hurt our recruiting efforts with "quality" people? I think people are overestimating how little recruits and their parents care. They see one thing--reaching the NFL. And that includes good students. Ohio State isn't a bad school. It isn't as though this is going to hurt the value of their degree.

You should hope you're wrong, because if you're not, that means a lot of stupid parents are sending their kids to a less than trustworthy coach.

Does Brian Kelly still recruit well? I still don't trust any coach so it's all perspective. And, yes, there's a lot of dumb parents out there. A ton actually. Maybe the majority.

For one thing, the guy those recruits were going to play for at PSU wasn't part of the scandal. Meyer is. Apples and oranges.

We disagree on that completely. Have we seen anyone decommit from Ohio State? Honest question--I don't know

Nothing to disagree with. I stated a fact.

So, none of our coaches were here? Try again
But, the point is, I don't think it matters. I think kids still would have came here to play for Bradley if he got the job. Probably not Hack but many, many kids who would have been criticized for it. Just like they were criticized by many for going to Penn State even though Joe was gone

Huh. Joe was gone. Urban would not be if he survives. Big difference.

Joe was gone...yes
Were all the coaches gone?
It isn't a big difference. You seem to think people will even remember this in a month if Urban is still there.

I can but I'll remember stuff that actually matters. I think you're just hoping this impacts their recruiting like many were hoping Sandusky would destroy us
I never ever said it would destroy them. But it will impact recruiting. They are not the only game in town in the B1G anymore and that's also different than the last decade.

Okay--your last sentence is great...WE (Penn State) will absolutely impact their recruiting.
The scandal won't.

Don't be obtuse, or maybe you can't help it. If PSU is already a threat, and they are, then this particular scandal can't help but negatively impact OSU recruiting because of a very good attractive alternative. The only debate is to what degree. Now go argue with somebody about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
