PA recruit that Penn State was after a few years ago. Wonder if there is any interest or room.

The decision for redshirt freshman tight end Cary Angeline to leave the USC Football program surprised the Trojan Family on Sunday night. On Monday, head coach Clay Helton supplied an explanation for Angeline’s departure.

“Cary is a great kid,” Helton said. “He wants to find a place closer to home to be able to play.”

Angeline joined USC as a four-star recruit from Chester Springs, Pennsylvania in 2016. He spent a year with the Trojans before opting to transfer out of Los Angeles, apparently due to homesickness. Lack of playing time at USC, with true freshmen Erik Krommenhoek and Josh Falo receiving reps over the second-year player, also appears to have had an effect.

I doubt there is room for him at PSU.

Delaware. It's very close to home and he could play immediately. Otherwise he wouldn't be allowed on the field until 2019.

Holland, Bowers, Dalton, and recruiting a number of other guys. We seem set at the TE spot especially since JoMo's offense really uses 2-3 TE at same time like OBrien did. Kid will probably end up at Temple or Pitt.

I agree if playing time was an issue then it makes sense for him to go to Delaware or even Villanova. He's from Chester Springs Pa. which would mean that Delaware is less than 45 mins away from his home.

PSU has the Rivals #3 and #5 TEs currently committed. I think that position is in good shape for the next few years.

If he can play half decent I would take him

Bowers and Dalton haven't shown much and I'm not sold on Holland. Don't want count on 2 true freshman to save the day for TE position

Dalton is a RS FR and Bowers has been hurt. What should they have shown so far? All that this guy has shown so far is that he is behind 2 FR on the two deep. Gesicki didn't show too much before his JR year.

Dalton and Bowers are not even comparable to Gesicki. Gesicki was a athletic freak coming out of high school and we were fighting for Ohio State for his services.

Bowers was committed to Pitt and his offer sheet wasn't that great. Franklin offered him super late basically because everybody he wanted was turning him down. Bowers also had a knee injury

There's been literally nothing on Dalton and the reports I've read on here about him haven't been promising

Bowers and Dalton are behind walk on tight ends on the depth chart so what's that tell you?

Penn State was fighting Alabama for Dalton's services. I would consider that a good testament to Dalton's potential. He's only a RS FR for crying out loud. Where was Gesicki in his FR and SO years?

This is exactly the kind of kid who could turn Pitt's program around as soon as the Duzzi coaches him up.

With Bowers out for the season for the second straight year I think taking a shot on Angeline might be a good idea.

He could ask for a waiver, like Nick Suriano did, and was granted by the BIG 10, so he doesn't have to sit out a year! Lol!

Yeah I highly doubt his offer from Alabama was committable.

Wow, you're probably right. Was his USC offer committable? Probably not and I'd bet his PSU offer wasn't committable either. I now wonder if he had any committable offers...

Do realize how dumb most people now believe you to be? Like real dumb...

Dalton put up some good stats in high school then had a really big camp-combine or two and his recruiting really took off. In the Summer, BSD said this season will be more of a developmental year and he wont see much PT until 2018. He did need to put on some weight. His Rivals high school profile had him at 6"5" 230lbs. BSD says he's 6"4" 247lbs.

Regarding his Alabama offer, they offered 19 TEs that year including Angeline and Upshir. Only Alabama and Dalton know if the offer was committable.

I think the Lions look to be in good shape for TEs.

Seems like a bit of overkill at one position.

Sorry I'm not a delusional fan unlike a few of you guys on here. Some of you guys are like Pitt fans.

Alabama sent out 19 offers to tight ends that year and why don't you count out how many offers they send out every year you a$$ clown

I'm guessing all 19 tight ends had committable offers LOL

I can't see him coming when we have TWO ELITE TEs in the 2018 Class.

We have Holland back next year and 2 outstanding TEs coming in next year... why waste a spot on an in-state kid, who we recruited heavily, who went out West because of the scenery? No thanks. He can play for Lockhaven or Temple.
How about St. Francis or Thiel? lol

Yeah you come off as a complete moron. You have no comeback you try with a lame insult because you realized how wrong you are. You kind of remind me of President Stache on Pitts board. Complete ass.
