Utah starting QB gets benched on Saturday leaves program today

I think both '22 kids are enrolling in January. The length of time they stay, who knows. I'd say they both remain through '23 summer camp at a minimum.

I think it will be tough for either to beat out Roberson next year, but would not be unheard of. Looking at the night and day difference of '20 SC to '21 SC has to make you think "wow, this Yurcich guy can teach."
I would tend to agree with you....but, it's not fair to evaluate KC on last year. MY is the fair haired boy right now and the fan in me is excited and dreaming.....but the guy who has been around the game tells me that there are 9 games left in the season.

How is it not valid when it is fact? Sean was the 8th rated QB in his class, Drew is currently 7th. Allar is rated higher than Cliff was. I just don't see that as a huge gap.

He's a red shirt junior I believe. My thought would be that his year(if it ever arrives) would be to fill the gap next year. I doubt, unless something unforeseen happens that he would be encouraged to return for year 5. But I can't attend practice, so i don't know what he is capable of.....and I don't know if we will see him get meaningful game snaps unless Cliff gets hurt....and none of us are hoping for that. I'm just speculating that if he is serviceable, he would be the guy to get PSU from Cliff to Allar (unless Allar walks on water and takes the reigns immediately0.
Roberson is a redshirt sophomore. He was a true freshman in 2019 and a redshirt in 2020. So he’s a sophomore, but 2020 is a freebie, so I think he has three more years after this one, but I can’t keep up with the Covid rules.

I’ve explained it to you already. Not my fault you can’t understand how #8 in the 2017 class isn’t the same thing as #8 in the 2022 class.

So next year, assuming he stays, will be his 4th year with the program. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if you aren't in the starting mix by year 4, you are likely to go shopping in the portal. Certainly not the way it used to be, but that appears to be the new normal.

Thanks for trying to help me out. You're a real good teacher.

I’d rather lose a 4th year guy that hasn’t been able to win a starting spot than a highly recruited freshman.

Allar’s high school coach is already communicating with Yurcich to get Drew working on skills he needs for their offense. There have been freshmen who’ve stepped right in and done well and anyone we go with (assuming Clifford leaves) will be green, so why not a freshman?
This is not uncommon and it is known that MY is working with both Allar and Pribula’s coaches.
