UW/PSU should be a great game! Looking forward to it.

Someone on another thread was comparing UW's RB, Myles Gaskin, to Barkley. Gaskin posted solid numbers again this season. Someone asked if Gaskin is so good, why have we never heard of him? Easy - 11 of the UW games this year started after 8pm EST with 5 of those games starting after 10 pm EST. Got to stay up late in the East to catch those highlights.

Also, a UW QB had one of the best Hail Mary passes ever back in 2005. But most never saw it because 1) the game was on Fox, not ESPN and 2) the game started at 11pm EST.

Good question. Graduated from Purdue. Daughters both graduated from UW. Live in Glendale and was really excited to learn of the matchup with PSU in my own backyard. Plus your board is active with seemingly good fans.

Sorry the first PSU fan that responded is one of our crappier ones. Thanks for the info on Washington. Good luck in your bowl game.

I've seen Gaskin a bunch. Good back but not close to barkely. The real match up in this game is UW DL vs PSU OL. they defend rushing explosiveness well and that is one of Psu' s biggest strengths.

I am expecting a real, tough, hard-hitting game against UW! This will go down to the wire.

One of my best friends, for almost half a dozen decades is a UNREAL Boiler fan. Went to school there, three degrees and worked for the University his whole life. As a result he has become a closet PSU fan and I hold his hand through agonizing football seasons, on after another. VB and BB save his life. Loved the season the Boilers had, just hope the coach stays more than a year or two.

LOL. Purdue football has been bad. But I really like Brohm...a lot. Expectations at Purdue are not that high. Win 8 games and they'll give you a key to the city.

I have watched Gaskin a lot. His strength is patience and waiting for his blocks to develop. It's going to be a fun game.

Will Purdue be able to contain Tate? Purdue not good in rushing defense explosiveness.
I'm thinking Purdue offense should be able to put up some points

totally agree. UW hasn't been tested in the quality of running game like we bring with the possible exception of Stanford. In that game, Love had 166 yards. If Barkley gets 166 yards, it PSU's game. If the OL blocks like they did against Sparty or the fourth quarter against tOSU, its UW's game.
