C'mon guys. Don't sell Carnegie Mellon short. They're right next door and the game could turn into a real neighborhood rivalry. The Pitt players could walk to the away games which would be weird since they need to take a bus to go to home games and practice.
A shame no one at PSU thought the Temple - PSU announcement might be a lot more fun if it was announced next Sat night.....about 15 minutes after PSU’s beatdown of Pitt.
Game would end around 11 PM EST. doubt that would the optimum time for the announcement.

I love how those idiots mock our OOC schedule. Look at it this way. 2 of our 3 OOC opponents last year went to bowls. Neither of those 2 were Pitt. Hell, Temple WON a bowl game last year.
Some dude on Mark Packer's ESPN radio call in show the other night said Penn State is AFRAID to play Pitt. We play OSU, MSU, Michigan every year with WI, IA and NE rotating occasionally and have Auburn,WVU and V Tech coming up OOC, but yea, we're afraid to play Pitt.

I think PSU should play Pitt every year but it would have to be 2 home games for each away game. That's the only way it makes financial sense and Pitt won't go for it.
Dooz doesn’t seem to get that his team - from the top down - is inferior to PSU’s. This is not a knock, just a fact. He is delusional if he really doesn’t see the disparity between the 2 programs and that where scheduling PSU is a step up for his exposure, it’s quite the opposite for Franklin’s team.
Why does Saunders or narduzi care who we play?
Nate doesn’t ask franklin about Pitt and Albany or why they want to play Duquesne?

I would have rather continued with the Pitt series honestly. Its much more entertaining and fun. It creates a lot of conversation and jawing with one another. The Temple series just does not do it for me. For those that want to argue , I first ask you to put your EGO on the shelf.
This Saunders guy is a moron. We didn’t replace Pitt on the schedule with Temple. We replaced Pitt with VA Tech, Auburn and WVU. All three are an upgrade compared to Pitt.

It doesn’t seem that extends to the offices of Old Main. But the excuse-making needs to end. Penn State doesn’t have any good reasons left not to play Pitt other than “they just don’t want to.”
