Wanted: New PSU Women's Tennis Coach

PSU women's tennis has usually struggled, with the exception of some good seasons under Jan Bortner from 1982-90. I'll speculate that Cagle was encouraged to look for other opportunities or may have seen the writing on the wall. In any case, he ran the program with integrity and I wish him well in his new job in South Carolina.

I wonder if MTEN associate head coach Paul Tobin will be interested in replacing Cagle.

Hmm ... I wonder if Univ of New Mexico's legendary tennis coach, Kathy Kolankiewicz, would be interested in coaching again.

She's currently working at the new USTA campus in Orlando. She's got several ties to PSU and State College which might interest her. Her parents live in State College and her sister is Jay's wife.

I used to work with her brother and it sounded like she had pretty nice position with USTA. But who knows.
