Rutgers is slowly creeping up on us in commitment numbers with 7 commits in the past 11 days and 9 overall...what is wrong with our staff that we have slowed down to a crawl while our "rivals" coming off a 2-10 season have been on a roll...something's gotta give...
...ok in all seriousness, only one of there 9 commits is a top 800 national recruit and mid 3* according to all of the rating services and most don't have any other Power 5 offers...they are taking the Flood recruiting approach of finding underrated /underrecruited players and coaching them up...I guess...hey, when you offer 400+ recruits at some point you have to strike gold...or at least copper...or aluminum...
If we were taking recruits commitments that they are, this board would look worse than some of our basketball recruiting threads @psufanatic03 lol
The funny thing is they were recently saying they liked the staffs approach of not reaching for players early in the recruiting cycle as the reason for the low number of recruits...but now that seems to have flipped and they are happy to be getting commits no matter who else might have offered or is showing interest...
I just find it intersting to follow their recruiting...it makes me more thankful that we are recruiting at such a high level while they are stocking up with FCS level talent
