Watched a replay of OSU-OU last night

and it looks like Barrett never throws anyone open and this is big handicap for OSU's passing game. He has a tendency to hold the ball until the receiver is clearly open and then throws which is often too late against quality defensive backs. He needs a lot of time to complete passes even in the intermediate range and if you look at the film of his big plays in the passing game he has time to eat a sandwich back there before he throws.

Also, OU ran RPO from the same sets we do but also with the tailback behind the QB. Gashed OSU up the middle pretty much all game long. Direct snap to TB with fake to Mayfield. Completed passes to the TE/HB. Slants as we did with UM. Little more uptempo than us but lots of check with me as well. OSU back seven did not play well and OU never gave the DL enough time to really hit Mayfield very much. I'm sure JoeMo took a lot from this game's film.
