I might have a job opportunity in Draper Utah. I have two kids out of college and one is a rising junior. So it will be just be me and my wife.

Any thoughts on the area?

Plan on retiring in state college in 3-6 years.

Of course, everyone is different, but I was stationed at Hill AFB when I was in and thoroughly enjoyed the area. It's only about an hour from Draper. I would move back if I was given the opportunity.

Do you enjoy skiing or snowboarding? Lots and lots of beautiful places to hit.

^^^^ This..... I have several friends who live in Sandy(just north of Draper) from Doylestown in Bucks County. I stay with them when I go to Utah. Man I would recommend it highly, especially if you like the outdoors. Year round you can ski, snowmobile, fly fish, white water kayak, road/mtn bike, sail, hike, etc... You have Moab and Zion to visit. Great healthcare with university hospitals in downtown SLC very close by Draper. SLC is a very nice city, modern architecture and very clean. (Mormons actually fight to pick up trash and no graffiti, etc) Alta/Snowbird ski resorts and all the others are very close. (Where my friends work) Opens up gateway to other great places to visit like Jackson, WY with Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. Great healthy lifestyle my friends say "Why would we move back to Eastern PA....LOL"
