We don’t need no stinking chain

I'm not a ginger...otherwise, not a bad rendering.

lol. I should have changed my plans, and attended the dual. Seeing you in that outfit would have been worth the drive.

then again, if that was you, perhaps a handle change is on the horizon. I'm not sure if purplebanger carries the same weight, or provides the proper connotation, but I'm sure you could make it work. ;)

Well, I guess I am happy to follow a team that wants to earn a pin for themselves and the team. Not because of a chain. But if it works for them.

The comment from Snyder about not getting excited unless the chain was involved (abridgment of his comments is totally on me) bothers me a bit. Maybe he is trying to motivate his team, but I guess I want to take him at his words, and they bother me a bit. Reading ghem again I guess it is all fun, but seems a bit like Terry Throw Me Fun not PSU dodgeball fun. To each his own.

Reading the first few paragraphs, I was more convinced than ever that this was a creation of the PR machine and Snyder was mocking it . . . only to find that it was actually Crazyman Jaggers who brought the Pin Chain into this world.

As I read on, it reminded me more and more of that Onion-esque interview of Mike Evans's mustache I wrote a few years ago. This damn Pin Chain seems to have its own personality as it travels in style secured safely in a silver suitcase.

This only goes to show that recruiting isn't the only area in which the Hawkeyes have to catch both tOSU and PSU . . . they're getting smoked in the f*n department, too. ;)

“He wanted that pin chain,” Ryan said. “He also wanted to flex. It’s hard to flex without the pin chain around your chest.”

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Unless of course you have your arms wrapped around a watermelon. Zain don’t need no stinking pin chain.

Again, harmless fun from the Buckeyes. Still not making the connection to motivating the wrestlers though.

Maybe I should try this at work, for motivating folks!!

Agreed, no big deal. However I think our team is more focused on Chain pinning rather than a pin chain. How many times can they go back to back to back to back to back?

Goldbanger definitely needs to bring his pimp cane to the matches. After a Penn State pin the wrestler runs to the sidelines and then slowly pimp walks back to the center to have his hand raised. But save it for the Ohio State meet.

When I saw this thread come back to the top, I thought sure it was going to be about how much motivation the turnover chain provided the Hurricanes yesterday. My family and I looked sheepishly at each other every time we said something positive about Pitt. But, man, do I hate Miami.

18 to 23 or 24 year old college kids. What they like is pretty much 180 degrees what I like as a 50+ (well, maybe not everything...)

Doesn't really need to serve as motivation. If they like it and it's fun for them, why not? I mean Kyle Snyder is like 21 years old right? Just because he's an all-time great and we look at him as a little larger than life at times, doesn't mean he needs to forgo the pleasure of being 21, flexing on the mat and stylin' the pin chain at times.

I have instituted a dish washing chain. So far my kids have been Luke warm about it but I'm adding some more bling and some flashing led lights. I think it will catch on. Working with adults you may try adding chocolate or a cone of silence to be used when driving children.

Hopefully the pin chain will be equally as effective for the Tanners in March as the turnover chain was for Miami against Pitt
