and football team. I know in the past we have been spoiled competing and winning National titles. Competing for and winning Big Ten titles. But the sanctions took all of those dreams away. As I've had time to reflect before the sanctions, during and after the sanctions, I am amazed at what Coach Franklin and his staff have accomplished as well as the players. Franklin took over at a time when the sanctions were in full effect and hit the team the hardest. He also took over a team that had 3 different coaches and players mixed together from 3 different coaches recruiting classes. Do you know how hard it is to build chemistry and buy in from players when that is the case. The fact Penn State did not have a losing season is amazing. And now, they get a win over one of the big 3 which happened sooner than I expected. This team now has a chance to run the table, but I'm going to be realistic and say it probably doesn't happen as we are still a very young football team. Still 8-4 or 9-3 would be remarkable and if they do win out, then wow!!! Imagine if PSU wins out and Michigan loses at Iowa and to OSU. Guess who wins the Big Ten East and is headed to Indy!?!? In closing, PSU was hit with the hardest sanctions ever and didn't have a losing season. Notre Dame and MSU no sanctions, full allotment of Scholarships and top recruiting classes and they are 2-5. Thank you coach Franklin. Now let's get that last monkey of our backs and start playing well on the road. GO STATE!!!!
