Weekly Review of Rankings, for 11/15/16

People need to remember these are just rankings. They don't MEAN anything. Interesting to debate and point out what you think the rankings should be but in the end they don't matter. I guess my point is that IMHO there is no reason to get upset just because sometimes they don't make any sense.

I believe the purpose of the ranking suggestions put forth is an effort to make them more accurate, and less viewed as "just rankings".

I averaged Flo, TOM & Intermat to try to get 'more accurate'; here's my spreadsheet. Will add in WrestleStats & the pirate's Dual Impact Index algos later in the season.

JP am I looking at your predictions wrong? I see a 4 for Cortez as well as Brock? Maybe this is foleys cruel joke of bringing olympic repechage to folk wrestlebacks?

Nah, you're seeing it right. I played speed chess with the predictions piece, and only stabbed at finish guesses team by team--didn't map out each weight class to avoid such redundancies.

Trying to think with more a speed writing mindset, so that I can get more published. So I just have to get comfy with the inevitable quality dip.

Was going to but Im attempting to drive back after rutgers game and if that happens I will get in late and not turning back around for philly the next morning. So I will be watching on flo.

Really enjoy jto's work. All our guys, except 149, 157 (#1's), and 184 (#3) have a higher prediction than their current ranking average.
