Well, we can stop complaining about other teams getting the calls

Because we absolutely got the key calls tonight, including some bad ones. Probably won because of it. That's how football goes, but hopefully we can stop sounding like complete whiners about the Big Ten favoring other teams.

A win is a win. But for those judging between us and Indiana, not sure we're head and shoulders better.

I'll take it, all things considered.

Yes because Minnesota had a whole 1 penalty called against them with at least two clearly visible holds that weren’t called and an obvious late hit call that wasn’t called, all on key plays….but keep trying to downplay the win.

PSU is head and shoulders better than IU. Minnesota had a week to get healthy. They threw the kitchen sink at PSU today. Fleck is a weird dude but given that much time can come up with a really good game plan. As a long time coach myself, I take any win even not playing well. You survive those types of games, it makes you start to believe. Which is the key always.

The play where the MN player hit Warren low from behind long after the ball flew past him. I said to myself, no way we don’t get flagged if roles were reversed. Thought there were some very questionable spots too. Probably enough officiating errors to even it out.

So many on here say that Fleck is a better coach than Franklin, then we have a close game with him and they’re surprised….I don’t get it. Either he’s a good coach or he isn’t.

What a shocker, you're wildly exaggerating the importance of the call. It was a bad call as the ball was not catchable, but it was on a 2nd-&-4 play from midfield and PSU had already moved the ball 25 yards in 3 plays that had only taken 16 seconds off the clock - and the clock would have been stopped after the incompletion with plenty of time and PSU still had 2 TOs. On the very next play Allar completed a 28 yard pass to Warren to the Minnesota 10 yard line and a 1st-&-Goal. So your notion that PSU would not have scored but for that call is utterly farcical as PSU was ripping off huge yardage play after play.

BTW, on the X-tra Point, the Officials literally created a 3 point differential for Minnesota with a clear "Wrong Call" - a Minnesota defender hurdled a down O-lineman which is illegal. But you don't want to talk about that??? That Wrong Call actually took a point from PSU and gave 2 points to Minnesota - the call you want to over-dramatize did not create points of any kind and may well have made no difference as PSU was ripping off huge chunks of yardage play after play.

We didn't win because of the calls. C'mon. You are of course assuming the game happens exactly the way it did except the PI call.

We got 1, maybe 2 obvious bad calls in our favor, but the amount of non calls on holding and tackling of our LB’s by the Minny OL more than make up for them. It was blatant

I agree ....we need to stop whining about calls....it goes both ways and balances out (usually ;)). There was obvious taunting of Warren (IMO) in the end zone where the DB, defended the play aggressively, then stood over him, looked down and flexed), but I'm glad they didn't call it....again, it all balances out. I don't think there is any agenda on the refs part......just human in a very high speed game.

Our OL held all game too--watch Singleton's 9 yard run on the final drive--66 has an obvious hold. Rucci held all day--they called it the same for both--blatant holds against us were also ignored

There was no "wrong call" on the extra pont. The move by the Minny defender was not illegal. Leaping is not allowed if you start a yard or more off the LOS. Linemen can "leap" or hurdle. That was a lineman. Also, you can leap gaps, and it could be argued that he was leaping over a gap between the 2 offensive linemen ... which he was, and while he was in mid air, the one lineman to the right shimmied over to try to stop him.

So, it wasn't a "wrong call" in 2 different ways.

Hell, it didn't even have an effect on the play ... the guy who made the block was on the opposite side ... the "leaper" (more like a climber, but I digress) fell over the linemen.

Stop your madness.

A fair trade would be stopping whining about refs in exchange for people not advocating firing everybody and sitting our starting QB when we go 3 and out early in the first and trail by a few points

pAnIc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously--all of that would be great
But we also have people that thought Indiana was going to beat Ohio State up 7-0

Football is an emotional game. Players and fans alike.

We did get the calls today…it’s like the frequency of a comet passing by.

We are not the 4th best team in the country - not even close…maybe ~ 15.

Played a lousy game.

But gutsy calls (especially fake punt) and good click management by Franklin.

Nice win.

Name the teams clearly better than us--the fact anyone thinks we're "maybe 15" is hysterical at this point
Watch over games

I missed the 2 flags on MINNY for ripping #41 Kobe King's helmet off 2x.

several bad spots and Kobe King's helmet comes off 2x. The 2nd one was a punch to his face mask. Didn't see what caused the first time, but most likely another hands to face....

Who’s ahead of us…Ole Miss? Oops, they lost. Bama? Oops, they’re getting killed. IU? Oops, they got crushed. 15th? Please.
