Well, well, well, Marc Andre 4-Goal Fleury Agrees to play for the Blackhawks ! UPDATED!!

Glov: Wouldn't you say that MAF is a lock for the Hall of Fame?

He IS indeed.

BUT, he has let playoff teams down on a consistent basis.

And I point that out consistently.

I know why Jesus Christ's Apostle's followed him but I have no idea why Marc Andre Fleury Apologists follow Marc Andre 4-Goal Fleury!

Question: MAF had a chance to prolong and maybe WIN the Stanley Cup series against the Washington Caps.

Care to guess just how many goals he gave up in the final loss?

Yep! 4-GOALS!!

The Golden Knights lost the game 5 - 1. The last goal was an open net tally!!

I'm well aware. Are you one of those people that never played hockey and think the goalie is to blame like those people that always blame the QB in football? For example, if you think he was to blame during the disastrous series against the Flyers in 2011 then you don't know hockey.

There were far bigger issues with the Pens then Fleury.

Again, you stated 4 goal Fleury which made you wrong from the title.

Pittsburgh Penguins fans who have tracked Marc-Andre Fleury’s goaltending career have seen this before.
• In 2013, he was replaced in the playoffs by Tomas Vokoun after going 23-8 in the regular season.
• In 2016, he lost his job due to injury to Matt Murray before the playoffs began after having his best statistical season to date (.921 save percentage, 2.29 goals against average).
• In 2017, he started the playoffs brilliantly, claiming the team’s first nine postseason victories before yielding the net back to Murray, who eventually finished off the team’s second consecutive Stanley Cup run.

• In 2020, Fleury won 27 regular-season games, but only got four of 20 starts for the Vegas Golden Knights as head coach Peter DeBoer turned to Robin Lehner for the majority of playoff games.
This year, the same thing may be happening to Fleury. After a Vezina Trophy nomination for his regular-season performance and a fine start through the first two rounds of the playoffs, DeBoer decided to turn back to Lehner again in Game 4 of the team’s semifinal against the Montreal Canadiens.
That’s despite Fleury’s 9-6 postseason record, along with a 1.97 goals against average and a .921 save percentage.
Lehner came through this time. After being called upon to start Game 1 of the team’s second-round series against the Colorado Avalanche, Lehner was drilled 7-0. But he bounced back to best the Canadiens 2-1 in overtime Sunday.
So what does this mean moving forward for Fleury? DeBoer has always tried to balance out the starts between the two goalies. He attempted to make it sound as if his decision to bench Fleury wasn’t because of his late-game gaffe that cost the Golden Knights Game 3 of the series Friday, claiming it was more about Fleury’s 15 starts in the playoffs.

Matt Murray you say?

The Matt Murray that TOOK the starting job from MA4-Goal Fleury?

Matt Murray that won TWO Stanely Cups his first 2-3 years in the league???

Yep, that Matt Murray!

Now, that Matt Murray's career DID take a nose-dive AFTER being 'run' by a few Flyer players which, I do believe, gave him a few concussions. He was never the same after.
Murray would have never had a chance at contributing to one of those two cups if Flower did not get the Pens out if the earlier rounds with his typical superlative tending. Cherry-picking articles does not erase a stellar career of a first ballot hall of fame goalie. All backed up by iron clad statistics.

Get your passport ready GLOV, I will buy the beers on induction day.

See you in Toronto.

In the mean time, enjoy the twilight of Flowers career. He will be in heavy demand come the trade deadline and may yet lead another team deep into the playoffs and perhaps earn a 4th cup.

Give it a rest. Flower carried that Vegas 1st year expansion team on his back. That accomplishment was unprecedented in any sport. Yet you denigrate it? Amazing blind spot.

Why do you think the Vegas fans just showed him so much appreciation? Because he was great and the heart and souls of the team.

You have a mean spirited obsession with this guy. You might want to talk to a professional.

I'm new so I'm not sure if you're trolling or don't know hockey but even a casual fan knows he's a first ballot HOFer. Career GAA is 2.56 and 2.53 in the post-season playing behind some of the worst defensive teams in the history of the NHL

Factor in last season's Vezina, 3rd all time in wins. 4th all time in the playoffs and he's going to be remembered as one of the best ever.

Weird player to hate. I hope you weren't a Matt Murray fan because...yikes
Mr LandoComando. You have learned a valuable lesson. Glov is like the disturbed, homeless begger on the street. Do not give him anything. Do not talk to him. Do not even make eye contact with Glov.

Just move along, go about your business.

Yes, but did he ever play in the Olympics?

Fleury is still going and winning Vezina's while Murray is in AHL after no one wanted him.

Glov, you are going down with the ship.

No, I present the facts.

You're a MAF fan-club member.

Just because my boat, the Titanic, bumped into a lil iceberg (one time) while I was driving does not make me a bad ship captain sir!

Ah, no sir.

It was the Vegas goalie coach, who had to brow-beat MAF into changing his goalie-style that led to MAF's resurgence.

Know your hockey!!

MAF resisted for 2-3 months; then finally he did listen to his goalie coach.

When you are easily and demonstrably one of the greatest of all time, I am in great company and the club is overflowing with members! He will be in the upper echelon of hall-of-fame ‘tenders. That would be the case if he retired today and yet he continues to excel.

Hilarious. He was a hall-of fame goaltender before he ever got to Nevada.
