Will we go back to complaining about the second half of the Purdue game? That Clifford should be under center with a full back behind him? Franklin should be fired for letting Stevens transfer? Feel free to continue the list.

This is quite a bit over the top and not very accurate.

No. All the folks here or in the media predicting a tough game or an upset will, as usual, say MSU isn't very good and that we'll be upset in the bye week.

I for one will be glad just to get the win!

We’ve reached the point where there are more posts complaining about people’s complaints than actual posts with complaints.

That’s simply not true. The ability for this board to complain is limitless. When we were shellacking the Terps, I thought the game thread would finally be, at least, 50/50 with complaints and positivity ... but what happened was, those who wanted to complain simply found something else to complain about - the refs and the broadcasters.

It’s like a compulsion. If things are going well, they’ll come up with “what if” scenarios, like, “what if we didn’t make that catch,” or “what if they didn’t make that play call,” and then complain about that non-existent reality, just to have something to whine about. Or they’ll bring up a time in the past when things didn’t go well, and complain about that.

The basket of initial complaints is infinitely large, so the complaints about the complaints will never exceed that amount.

The announcers were terrible. And don't forget about Friedgen in the booth also.

Friedgen could actually fit IN the booth?

I hope the team isn't assuming a win over Michigan State as much as the fans are. This game screams upset alert. Michigan State underachieving, and coming off a bye. Penn State coming off a big emotional win over Michigan. At East Lansing. Don't feel good about this game at all.

IMO Michigan State isn’t underachieving at all. What we’ve seen is just their level, demonstrated over the past four seasons.

I don’t see you winning in a blowout but I could see a comfortable 27-13 type win. In fact that’s what I expect.

I will hate us so much that i'll start a booth outside the BJC that allows all fans to beat themselves with a Cat of 9 tails as a punisment for not hating us enough
Make sure to charge for it, there's plenty of people that will pay good money for that treatment!

On a more serious note, at some point in the next two weeks, if PSU were to win its next two games in at least convincing fashion, people may have to start asking hard questions about the comparative schedule strengths of PSU, Oklahoma, and Clemson.

IF we win our next two. Regardless of what the other 5 no loss teams ahead of us have done, I would like our chances of being in the top 4 of the cfp rankings come Nov 12.

The responses will be the same coulda/woulda/shoulda complaints about player decisions, coach decisions, referee decisions except they will be coming from all of you who think it will be a blow out.

Should we be happy that PSU is 7-0? Absolutely. Are there clear issues on both sides of the ball? Yes. If you can't see them, you should take your Nittany-blue colored glasses off. I'm not sure why being undefeated means you can't be critical. I thought the saying went, "you either get better or worse, you don't stay the same." Don't we all want the team to get better?

As for this week in particular, I really do hope they blow out Sparty so I can watch a stress-free game but there is nothing from this season's games from either teams and the most recent history between the two that would indicate it will be a blow out. If you are so sure we'll win by more than 14 points, put up some money.

No it does not. Because Sparty hasn't been underachieving. They've been beaten straight up by three better teams. I watch their games, as I do many other teams. Do you?

no matter what we do as fans or say has no effect on the team's performance. It's the coaches job to prepare the team, and the team's job to do the work and execute.
