Pearl Beer would be way up there (or would it be down there).
But absolute worst was Jax Beer in New Orleans.
Don't know if they still make it but it would certainly benefit mankind if they don't.

I've got a great Pearl (actually Pearl Light) story that involves Barry Switzer told to me by an OU fan.

Barry, the best recruiter of all time, was in East Texas to see a recruit. As he and an assistant are walking up to the little shotgun shack for an in-home, Barry stops by the trash can. The assistant asks him what he's doing. Switzer peeks in and sees a bunch of Pearl Light empties.

Anyway, they walk in, pleasantries are exchanged, and the man of the house offers them a drink. Switzer says - "well, I'm ordinarily not too much of a drinkin' man, but I could really go for a Pearl Light if you have one."

Switzer, the Bootlegger's Boy, was a closer!

Great topic - For context, I "got by" on Schaefer 16 oz. 6 Packs (because they were $1.85 at the bottle shop and I could "stand" it). Given that, even at the time, I found these to be putrid:
Black Label, Meister Brau, "Fake" Lowenbrau made by Miller (same as Meister Brau), Blatz and Hamm's.

I bought this chili beer in Arizona. Don't remember the brand. It didn't have a slight chili flavor. The chili was really strong. Each bottle had a little chili pepper in it. I like almost any kind of beer and there is nothing better then a cold beer on a hot day but not this stuff. Tried drinking this stuff after being outside on a hot Arizona summer day but it didn't cool you off. It only made you hotter. Undrinkable. I threw it out.

Some that come to mind...Breckenridge Vanilla Porter and Blue Moon "try too hard" and end up tasting awful (and I have an extremely broad palette). Of the classics, probably Black Label, National Premium, Piels and Genny Cream. Anybody ever have Hop 'N' Gator? That seemed brutal too, but I was only like 10-12 when I'd tried it.

Had an occasion to clean out a squirel infested-attic and smelled the urine. Did not do a taste-test. Should have kept to same protocol when I cracked open those bottles of Schlitz and Hamm's.
