Seems like he hasnt competed much of late.
IIRC he one of those wunderkids a few yrs ago, probably matured earlier than other kids.
If he actually comes to Penn State .. what weight does he project to nowadays, and will he be competitive in the Penn State room?

i think he's a career 125 and i really like him. i think he's going to prove super valuable and at worst, highly dependable.

i also wouldn't attribute his success to early maturation. he made S32 finals as an 8th grader, a freshman and a junior. He won Fargo JR's prior to his JR year. those aren't age-dependent credentials.

I like those Gibson brothers, they are entertaining to watch, but realistically, given they may strive to remain a package deal, and face killer log jams at both weights, a portal jump someday would not be shocking. The new reality.

Saw him around the week of super 32s in Johnstown. He looked bigger to me but maybe he hasnt been training much. Or i have bad eyes...

This kid is a super talented wrestler. I would say he would have to be a 125 career guy with his height. Does Gibson go 125 and Luke to 133?

My only fear is he reminds me of Bouzakis with his body style. They are producing some studs at mCort. Call me crazy but Gibson might have a better chance of starting at 125 on PSU this year than he does on his Hs team at 126 or 132.

Any word on the older one? Is he pushing any of the middle weights? He was always tough too

He was a very old 8th grader at 106 and built like a mini Arnold so I think maturity was a factor back then. Of course 3 S32 finals can't be faked -he is super talented. Also a great kid so I'm rooting for him.

That said, I think he is going to have to clean up finishes at the D1 level. I remember him losing ast year (maybe True Power or Surge) in a low scoring OT match. He looked far superior as an athlete and wrestler, but couldn't seem to turn that into points.

I will say, I don't see him giving up many team points even if he doesn't reach his full potential.

Incredibly lucky to have him and his brother. Both are excellent wrestlers and kids.

Gibson is probably a career 125, but no more "have to be with this height" than Tomasello was.

Very true. I keep forgetting about Howard. Brendan Davis is going to be a good one too

You see Lilledahl as a 133?

Just saw little Gibson is listed in the surge seeding a for this weekend. He won’t get much top action. Should mow through. Pierson is registered as well. Going to be fun to watch him Vs Miller. He might be too strong.
Why is there not many M2 kids in this and it’s right here in Central PA? You would think Taylor would want them competing. He used to get 100’s of matches in.

Faith academy is bringing a bunch.

Didnt Bassett try 139 a short while ago, before dropping back to 133?
Yeah, I'm guessing Forrest at 127, and Bassett at 133, so Mason basically has to go 139 this season unless he is going to cut down to 121(3), which seems unlikely now.

Mcmullen and Butler 172/189 I would guess. Which gives them a pretty stacked lineup overall. them vs faith will be very interesting
Here is what that match could look like:

107 Bachmann FCA/Davidheiser FCA vs. Britt McCort
114 Bachmann/Davidheiser vs Gunby McCort
121 Botero FCA vs Sledzianowski McCort
127 Brunner FCA vs Forrest McCort
133 Waltenbaugh/O'Brien FCA vs Gibson McCort
139 M. Wagner FCA vs Bassett McCort
145 Hontz/S. Wagner FCA vs Herring McCort
152 Stein FCA vs Miller McCort
160 Weidemoyer FCA vs Magro McCort
172 Waters FCA vs MCMullen/Butler McCort
189 N. Singer FCA vs Pensiero McCort
215 J. Singer FCA vs Butler McCort
285 Effendian FCA vs Rodriguez McCort

Absolute Dog Fight!!!!!

That could be a crazy dual. Both teams are solid. Faith will get them in the top and bottom of the lineups. The middle could be all Mcort. This one could be down to the wire. Faith could have 13 state placers which will make them almost impossible to beat. Mcort has more top tier and less depth across the board. I think Mcort could be lots of bonus
Both lineups are on the young side.
How does Saucon, NDGP and other AA stack up
