We should go to Pitt every year, recruiting motherlode
You know this is a wrestling forum, right?I think a home and home with Texas would be great. I would love to go down to Austin for a game.
Same with Oregon. I would love to go to Autzen stadium for a game. I have a feeling it is overrated compared to Beaver stadium but will still be great

Thought you meant Boise was in Oregon (or Texas ).Meaning...we wish they still had a program.
Mid-to-late summer. Remember, almost all conference duals happen after the New Year, so the coaching staffs (in our case, mostly Cody) can start working on the November and December duals earlier than that.Roar, when does B1G give the team their schedule?
Wow what a schedule for a NYer like me. Great set of home meets plus access to away meets at Lehigh and Rutgers. Best schedule ever. This might be a good place to mention the 2017-18 Big Ten Schedule...
HOME: Ohio State, Indiana, Purdue, Iowa, Minnesota
AWAY: Maryland, Rutgers, Michigan, Michigan State
So, 5 HOME Big Ten Duals, and the coaching staff shoots for 7 total home duals. That's 2 more, leaving room for 3 AWAY non-conference duals. Lehigh will be one, leaving room for 2. Only variation is if 2 duals are on consecutive days, it only counts as one competition date, and another dual could be squeezed in. This past year, we actually ended up short one dual from what was allowed.
To quote one Cornell fan, after Lewnes, Bosak, and Simaz lost. "That was the worst 21 minutes in Cornell wrestling"Was in close contact with Cornell fans in Philly in '11 which makes an annual beatdown very appealing to me.

In a few years I'm thinking my answer may be Iowa State. That would be great drama if they turn that program into something big again with Cael's history as wrestler and coach.
I can see it as part of an Iowa weekend trip. Iowa and ISU on a Friday/Sunday weekend.I can dream right? I feel very much like ISU is going to rise back to a level that is respectable within a few years. I can't imagine being competitive in a team dual situation with PSU in the near future simply based on recruits in the pipeline and and the knowledge of how Cael gets the most out of guys. I do think it would be a big shot in the arm for ISU if Cael brought his guys out for a home and home starting in a couple of years. I also think ISU will have a competitive style of wrestling apparent as early as next season despite the talent not being anywhere near high enough.
I popped my head in last week to watch a little club practice and MZ and BM are absolutely going to make a difference. Gone are the days of sitting on your butt between live goes and lacking focus. The vibe in the room is very positive and MZ really breathes enthusiasm. It was nice to see about 20 high school aged guys working to get better as well. There is certainly a completely different feel to Cyclone wrestling right now, and hope is suddenly alive in a program that had none. It will be a long process as it had fallen a long way.
PSU fans would enjoy a trip to Ames if for no other reason than to look at the pictures and names. Gable,Carr,Cael,Varner,Gibbons etc. adorn the walls as you enter the room. Should this dual ever happen in Ames I will host as many of you guys as want to make a trip. Food, drinks, tours, good seats and a free place to stay and some old Cyclone faithful to hear a few war stories from. It really is a historic place from a wrestling perspective.
I was wondering about Koll's history with PSU, is there some bad history? Is he mad at PSU for showing his dad the door? Is he mad he didn't get the job? Whatever happened it seems both he and PSU ended up OK.Cornell would be appealing. I think Koll likes it the way it is where he occasionally sticks a finger in our eye (Dake, Garrett). An annual Cornell beat down would take that "Indian warfare" down a peg.

I am really happy for you and your program. I think the excitement that recent events bring are important not only to ISU but wrestling in general.I can dream right? 1. ISU produced the 2 biggest names in the sport...GABLE/CAEL. Its only good for wrestling if ISU is relevant on a top level again.
2. An ISU/IOWA rivalry of comparable top teams year in and out would be awesome on so many levels.
3. A New Rivalry created around the history of Cael with Penn State would attract much attention.
I'm Sold, GET THEM ON THE SCHEDULE and help them grow
