my wife and I are going to the men’s basketball exhibition game between PSU and WVU in Morgantown on Saturday. Are there any must do things that we can do Saturday AM before the game? I don’t mean couch burning or making moonshine... clearly those are evening events. I mean things similar to the lion shrine or food items like grilled stickers or creamery ice cream. Thanks in advance and I’ll do my best to tolerate funny but not helpful responses...

The Arboretum is next to the Coliseum.

That statement made me laugh out loud. :D

Probably should ask on the WVU board... doubt many people here will give you a serious answer.
But I don’t typically visit other boards. This might be. Cause for an exception, but I can’t stand other team fans coming here and it ending up getting into a poop slinging contest.

I live in Morgantown and can give you a few things to do. They have a tram system with little cable cars that travel around campus. They have a nice minor league baseball stadium that gives you a nice view of Morgantown with restaurants close by. Keglers, Mario's Fishbowl, the Beanery, BW3 are a few bars close to Evansdale campus and coliseum. Cheat Lake and Cooper's Rock are some recreational areas close to town. Some advice, don't pay $20 to park but park across the street at the Creative Arts Center for free.

Bang your cousin?

My sister lived in Mtown for 5 yrs. I would second the votes for Black Bear Burritos and Coopers Rock. Not much left after that, maybe take a walk along the Monongahela.

When did Motown get a minor league baseball stadium? It wasn't there when I left in 2012.

Female perspective: When my son was WVU student from 2002-2006 I like to visit the former glass factory converted into shops and dining (Glasshouse Grill?). Also used to enjoy the downtown shops and liked an Italian restaurant Oliverio’s by the wharf. Have fun!

Some real funny comments guys! I've never heard the coach burning.moonshine drinking, my cousin is also my wife, trailer park jokes where did you get them from?I suggest any of the Beanery,Keglers,Black Bears or Crab Shack for a drink and food before or after the game.Sorry no Tudors Biscuit in Motown but we do have a lot of Sheetz where you can buy pepperoni rolls. If your coming in on I68 stop at Cooper's Rock for the view.Don't forget we sell beer at the Coliseum buy a couple to support our athletic budget.Enjoy the game and take it easy on our inexperienced backcourt. The old pizzaboy will be in Section 127 stop and say hi.

Omg sluggo I forgot about it.I've only been driving around Motown since 1966 and I want brain dead about Tudors! It's right behind the Beanery on a street that I haven't been on in years because of traffic congestion. My bad come to the game Saturday and I'll buy you a beer.
P.S.I don't feel so bad because I asked my wife( who taught in Motown for 33 years) is there a Tudors in town now,she said he'll no!

Thanks. We are just going to have Saturday AM to explore, but will see which of your suggestions may work.

take it easy on our inexperienced backcourt.
We just lost two of the most productive guards in our mediocre basketball history, so I’m not going to feel bad for your Mountainerrs.

Also, no offense meant on the jokes. You will certainly have the last laugh after the game on Saturday.

Garfield's??

Mario's Fishbowl. There's the original one on Richwood Ave or the new location over by the Coliseum on University Ave.

Ask the waitress for a plate and crayons to put something up on the wall. I believe there are a few non-WVU teams represented on the walls.

Does anybody remember this after West Virginia won the NIT? I guess they were in a hurry to get those shirts printed. Or not.

You could go to the spot on Mountaineer Field where Major Harris juked Quintus McDonald so hard that McDonald's cleat left a small crater in the turf as he tried to recover. And missed.
