First. When players leave the field, their attitude can be read on their faces. I think that Yurcich hurt himself by being in the press box, isolated from the players, except the qb.
When the offense was successful, Drew was hitting recievers running away from scrimmage, MD, MSU, and WV.
Sadly, most of Yurich's pass game was post up. He allowed defenses to keep our offense in front of them. This had to hurt the running game as well. We had speed to stretch defenses but seldom used it. Our WRs were not great but the coaches didn't help them with a better strategy.
Good coaching finds a way to get the best out of players' skills. Yurcich failed at this task.
