Would love to know what your boy had to say after working with Dake/Taylor and the other studs at camp the last few weeks. Must have been an awesome experience.

He said the guys are awesome! They are consistently teaching him things. He can wrestle with them, but Needs to add some size for 86KG next year. Watching what he is eating now for his 79kg/174 Junior worlds weight so he is walking around about 190 lbs. The team is very close! I’m very excited about all the opportunities he is getting.

I was there, front row. Had that been a typical 2-2-2 HS match, or better yet a 3-2-2 match, Beard most likely would have won. Hats off to Hoffman, he wrestled great, and won, but he's was shot at the end. Don't like his chances going forward against Beard, especially with the upper weight development of PSU kids.

Not that I care about the difference between two (nor do I have a firm opinion about who will be better), especially if they go 197 where I think Warner is better than both, but isn't Hoffman going to Ohio State? They haven't exactly been chopped liver at the upperweights.

Fair enough. Both schools have excellent track records. 197 in particular has been an excellent weight for both programs.

I thought much the same Vak. tOSU can bring guys along quite well and there are certainly some great guys to emulate if you are a buckeye upper weight. I'm very excited to watch young Mr. Warner in action this year. I think he is going to be a handful these next few years. We all like to talk a little trash, but wrestling fans all benefit from quality coaching as many places as possible.
