Where we stand with Recruits 11/7

If he decommits, he will go to Bama.

That is from my brother, who is a Terp alum.

Could be. But if he visits PSU and the team plays well, things may change.

Hope we have decent fan support during the holiday weekend.

Your brother's opinion or more?

I've already written him off anyway. More at the store and all of that plus Simmons and Joseph in the wings waiting. And Toney if he gets bigger or is some kind of special talent who can get to the QB at 200 or so lbs from the DE position.

Kaindoh is an early enrollee. If he's taking an official visit to PSU, no reason to write him off. If he flips, it would happen soon after.

Maybe I should have written that the disappointment was so long ago that it doesn't faze me. Sure, I'd like to see him at PSU. Did not know he's an EE. Wade is an EE too, right?

I have no idea what our status is with LB Nathan Proctor, but working and living in S MD gave me a little insight on his future potential. Last weekend Patuxent HS defeated Lackey HS (Proctor's) in the 2A semis. Friends of mine said that though Proctor looked big and fast, he was unable to cover our TE (who is one of Patuxent's better players, but probably not P5 level athlete). Still with our need for LBs, I'll take him and know that he will develop. Our area does not put out a lot of D1 talent, but safety Willis did play well for and graduate from PSU several years ago.

I think we will close recruiting real strong. I think at this point Wade is definitely heading our way. We have a great chance with Proctor.

He certainly has a lot of offers for someone who your friend says can't cover a high school tight end.
I'm not saying the kid is not a great player; I would love to have him. But the fact was that our TE had 5 catches for 115 yards (his season high) going against Lackey. Maybe Proctor was too busy worrying about helping his team against the run or compensating for somebody else. The point is that Proctor definitely did not dominate the game against a 2A team with little to no D1 talent.

I'm not discounting the observation. I'm just saying he has a lot of offers.

I just looked back on the stats from the first time Patuxent played Lackey this year. Our TE didn't play and Lackey completely shut down PHS and won 3-0. Thus, one game does not define a team or a player and I'm sure the college coaches know what they're looking at. Let's get him signed.
