Which is the more impressive franchise: BRAVES (1991-2005) or PATRIOTS (2001-present)???

I'm voting for Felli's Years as a "Halter Boy" in the Catholic Chuch.;)

Steelers or Yankees. Take your pick. But please go ahead and pick the second best of who you like whoever they are.

Steelers listed above.

Yankees 1976-2016. Do I even have to list it.

To the OP .... As someone who moved to Atlanta in 1990, and lived thru the Braves 1991 - 2005 run, I will say the answer is the PATRIOTS.

Even native Atlantans admit that their "run" is extremely tainted and feels a little disappointing because of only winning just the one World Series. For the most part of their 1991-2005 run of excellence, the Braves had the best staff in baseball: Steve Avery, Glavine and Smoltz early on and then Glavine, Smoltz and Maddox later on. For a good part of their 1991-2005 run, the Braves were rolling out THREE Hall Of Fame pitchers (Smoltz, Glavine and Maddox). Think about that .... not 1, not 2 but freaking 3 HoF Pitchers..... and they won just 1 World Series. In addition to the 3 HoF pitchers, that Braves team will have 1st ballot Hall Of Famer Chipper Jones, and manager Bobby Cox.

When the topic of the Braves "glory years" gets talked about down here in Atlanta, the story will eventually turn to how such a loaded team could only win 1 World Series.

Contracts that to the Patriots who are actually putting Vince Lombardi Super Bowl trophies in their trophy case....... and it's easy. The Patriots.

A better comparison to the 1991-2005 Braves would be like the 1976-1985 Philadelphia 76ers ... a loaded team, played for many NBA Titles ... but could only win 1.

on second thought, it's Secretariat - going away

to this day, he holds the record time in all three of the triple crown races

Another impessive run- Lennox Lewis. His record of 41-2-1 is impressive in itself, but the fact that he had rematches with both of the fighters he lost to and the one he drew with and won all three of those fights -convincingly- is incredible

The Braves, less playoff spots in MLB than in the NFL. Valid point on the championships and lack thereof in Atlanta only winning one. They should of won more than one WS title.

Great pitching staff but their closer kept changing unlike a Rivera with the Yankees. How the Braves kept changing parts though was impressive: Pendleton, Bream, Justice, McGriff, Chipper Jones, etc.

The Patriots run of success has been aided and abetted by the total incompetence of their division foes to challenge the Patriots, the Bills, Dolphins, and the Jets (with the exception of 3 years).

The same could be said about much of the Steelers run and the 49ers run.

The Braves didn't cheat, so I'll go with them.
Actually, the Braves did cheat. They deliberately made the distance between the plate and batters boxes wider than the rules specify
to lure umpires into calling a wider strike zone, which Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz etc took advantage of.

Imagine the outcry if the Pats were caught painting the hash marks wider than NFL rules to take advantage of their speed on the edges?
