That short guy behind the Iowa bench that the camera man kept showing. His sustained energy level, gyrations and crazy eyes over the course of the whole match were impressive.
Not joking. I honestly thought he was talking about Terry.

For the second time this evening I’ll say, “Ha! Touche.”
Pretty sure this is his last year, but if not and Robbie Howard is back and healthy at 125, he will win the spot.Agreed. Master rider with that frame once he gets the boots in, it is gonna be a nasty ride! GREAT pickup and nice well-mannered kid. Does he have another year of eligibility back? Love to have him for another year!
I think Uncle Tony could take him…He seems pretty self aware that people outside of Iowa don't like him:
Can't hate too much, every team has one of him. Camera loves him so he'll keep eating it up.

I thought he was a back-up on the team? I didn't realize he was just a student.FIFY
So basically Terry looking at the camera?Any gifs surface yet of Terry giving the cameraman Crazy Eyes?
Thanks for your vote, recap to follow today!86PSUPaul and hlstone impressed me the most with their trip to CHA.
Yeah, pretty much. If you watched the BTN broadcast, you'd see him acting like a caged animal when the cameras were on him. Like he was ready to kill the camera guy. It was really bizarre. Terry definitely ain't right in the head. A gif of this would be hilarious. So basically Terry looking at the camera?
Never seeing that clownery again will be too soon. It was like watching the obligatory football celebration after every tackle.TBH, I had enough of him by the end of the match 😉
I was there so I was looking forward to watching the replay from my DVR when I got home. Sadly my DRV only recorded up to the end of 184. I will have to follow one of the link people posted for select replays, hopefully they have 197!The answer is Dean by a landslide. We needed him to close the door - and he did it with authority.
All the bluster from the twins about tough wrestling, and the bullying which happened previously in the meet, got swept away during the 30 seconds Dean tortured Warner in front of everyone. You want tough wrestling? Well, here it is ****sticks - in spades!
This x1000. That shriek of terror from Warner was him channeling the entire Iowa fanbase as they watched the dual and the win streak slip away. The answer is Dean by a landslide. We needed him to close the door - and he did it with authority.

That certainly crossed my mind, too, but bottom line is that there was nothing egregiously wrong with what Dean was doing with the leg, knee, ankle, or angle, and so it was just boiling down to Warner either conceding or Rivera calling PD. He obviously saw it the way most of us did, and allowed the concession to proceed at the wrestler’s pace.Friendly reminder that Jacob Warner is not wearing that knee brace for a fashion statement. I have no idea of the extent of the injury, but just felt compelled to add another possible option other than just trying to get a ref stoppage.
He married Dan Mayo's daughter.
Thanks jrod. It certainly does add context. I'd delete my post except that you quoted me. This is the last I'll post on the matter.Friendly reminder that Jacob Warner is not wearing that knee brace for a fashion statement. Yeah. I was hoping that they were going to show him after Max put the B&A on Warner. That short guy behind the Iowa bench that the camera man kept showing. His sustained energy level, gyrations and crazy eyes over the course of the whole match were impressive.

Not sure if you DVR'd the TnT documentary, but the 184-hvy matches are there for me. But I missed the end of the documentaryI was there so I was looking forward to watching the replay from my DVR when I got home. Sadly my DRV only recorded up to the end of 184. Rivera said something after he screamed didn't he. I thought I heard him say keep it legal or something. Either that or suck it up buttercup lol. No need to give up on that thought. March is coming!I gave Kerk a 75% chance of winning that beforehand. Silly me
You must have missed it, because they did show him during that sequence:Yeah. I was hoping that they were going to show him after Max put the B&A on Warner.
Fair data point, jrod. But if memory serves, Warner didn’t vocalize any pain with Dean putting pressure on the knee until back points were imminent. Also, didn’t he see Cass successfully use the Hawk Howl just a couple weeks earlier to avoid giving up back points? Might’ve been hard for Warner to resist going there again with the dual on the line.Friendly reminder that Jacob Warner is not wearing that knee brace for a fashion statement. I’ll have to rewatch, but I could have sworn there were some yelps as soon as Dean grabbed the ankle/heel and started to elevate. Almost like there wasn’t a chance for pain, yet, but the anticipation of what was about to happen caused a reflex scream.Fair data point, jrod. That’s how I remember it, but I haven’t got back to rewatch it. At the time, I remember thinking he was yelling before any actual pain would have been inflicted.I’ll have to rewatch, but I could have sworn there were some yelps as soon as Dean grabbed the ankle/heel and started to elevate. And then the pain became real.
Maybe TnT have a taser wired in to their singlets for times such as that.Since the Warner howl has come up several times, and I've replayed the sequence multiple times on BTN+...I've still not figured out exactly what was going on there.
Yes, Warner was being manhandled and eventually turned, but never saw that reaction before. Looking at body positioning the whole time, he was definitely being horsed but not being bent in any position that looked that gosh-awful painful. As much as it pains me to go all conspiratorial, all I'm left with is playing to the ref hoping for a "potentially dangerous" call.

Is the Warner Howl similar to the Ohio Howl?Since the Warner howl has come up several times, and I've replayed the sequence multiple times on BTN+...I've still not figured out exactly what was going on there.

I am supposing it was a variation of DeSanto's "I don't want to get pinned", but instead of screaming "no mas" while trying to tap the mat Warner just went for a scream.Since the Warner howl has come up several times, and I've replayed the sequence multiple times on BTN+...I've still not figured out exactly what was going on there.

They watched the Flo documentary on Kolat, saw the part about the cattle rod and thought… what a great idea!Maybe TnT have a taser wired in to their singlets for times such as that.
Upon further review . . .Friendly reminder that Jacob Warner is not wearing that knee brace for a fashion statement. I have no idea of the extent of the injury, but just felt compelled to add another possible option other than just trying to get a ref stoppage.
