I’ll have to rewatch, but I could have sworn there were some yelps as soon as Dean grabbed the ankle/heel and started to elevate. Almost like there wasn’t a chance for pain, yet, but the anticipation of what was about to happen caused a reflex scream.

And then the pain became real.

Rivera was sure to stop it if Warner just put a little more oomph into the scream. well there is next time.

Of the options in the poll the answer is Dean for the sweet bow and arrow. But the real answer is Cass. Nobody predicted Tony would overpower Kerk to his back twice and ride him like that. I gave Kerk a 75% chance of winning that beforehand. Silly me
Why is that surprising? Wasn’t Cass a Greco champion? Pretty sure if the dual were on the line, Kerk wouldn’t have engaged.

It was great he got a feel of that when it didn’t matter much. The only thing that would suck is if they move Parris in front of him for BIGs. 2 or 3 seed is critical.

I'll disagree. Kerkvliet is a confident guy, rightly so. I'm pretty sure he thought he could win that position, as he did it twice. That's why he engaged, nothing to do with the circumstances of the dual. Coaches & Kerkvliet will correct, I'm sure about that. To me, it's a matter of learning, and the guys learn from their wins and their losses, moreso from losses.
