Why "Social Media" is great....

Good for James Green! I didn’t see him stepping away already. Opens the door for Zain if he stays up at 70.

That is pretty disturbing that Jammenz is attempting to troll Robbie Howard. I mean there's a lot that's fair game between message boards, but this is just message board stuff. Tweeting at athletes is creepy enough when it's positive stuff unless I guess some kind of perfunctory congratulatory thing. But an old man trolling an athlete's account looking for a reaction - that's beyond comprehension for me.

Maybe I don't do Twitter enough to be used to this. I can't imagine anyone on here - including Bushwood - posting something like that on one of the Iowa wrestlers' accounts and despite the lunatics over on the HR, I would be surprised to see them do that to a PSU wrestler (well, maybe Ironturd). Unless you were like college-age or younger (not that this makes it right) and it's peer banter. Or maybe I'm just out of touch in regards to social media.

Anyway, I just thought I'd post this again, just in case we have any newbies out there. There are no licensing fees required for this (to me) when used as a reply to anyone going by the name of jammenz or Duke and Duchess.

Jammen's poor dogs.

He should be giving them enough exercise that he's too busy to do crap like that.

Yeah, well Kollin would have probably won it all in 2020. Luke? He won enough with Hannah as his gf—Nick woulda been in our 3xer club.
Maybe on Moore - he didn’t exactly shine when the spotlight was it’s brightest. Got a lot of cred early in his career (and for the rest of his career) for an early-season close loss to an unmotivated JDen Cox.

There is no doubt Nick wins a rematch with Luke - who could argue given Cael’s track record.

Oh, what Noodle Arms did to Moore in 2019. I was on a short break in Tucson listening in the hotel bar as we flattened them

LOVE IT. I will buy it when its made. The last one was at the BJC though. I can't remember the last time we dualed the hawks at rec. 😟
Last time we dualed Haweyes at Rec? When the heck was the last time the Hawks showed up in State College?

Facundo learning from the best.

Someone made a very good point on "The Mat". Facundo's development last summer was definitely hindered by the Olympics. A lot of the guys who would have been working with him were focused on Tokyo instead. Particularly DT, Brooks, Casey Cael but Carter was also a coach for Franklin Gomez as well. Cenzo left for Stanford pretty early as well. I think after Clarion, Cael also certainly knew he would shirt him but then I wouldn't be shocked if the norovirus limited his practice in the Fall as well.

The Scuffle is the first time Cael really got an in depth look at him and knew exactly what he had to teach him (setups)

Askren actually made that point on FRL a few times last summer.

I believe that was LeDuke, aka…me.

I honestly believe that Casey Cunningham is the best 157/165 coach in America. With his time consumed by working with DT and getting AB to a place to replicate Yazdani’s pressure and underhook (which we saw this season, BTW), he likely didn’t have time to “fix” Facundo this past summer. Carter was working with both Gomez and Bekzod, and basically not there otherwise.

With a rock-solid 174-285, I assume the focus this coming summer will be to get some of our less productive weights up to a higher level. Facundo has absolutely spectacular defense and can get to legs; it’s the finishing that gave him trouble. But, Carter was in the same boat once, and he just put up 10 via 4 TDs on Hidlay a couple weeks ago.

Don't remember the name but since you repeated the post basically verbatim, I imagine it was indeed LeDuke. Had to credit you though since that was brilliant analysis I didn't even think about.

The thing I said I was first very optimistic about Alex with is he dominated the weaker level competition, which is good. He was putting up majors and pins on D1 backups, which is a good first sign. The way some people talk about him, you'd think he was marginally beating those kids 3-2. When he gets to NQ level guys who can scramble and defend, he struggles finishing.

Cael saw the root of that problem after the Scuffle "Said he isn't used to setting up and he doesn't get that practice in the room since everyone he practices against just goes after him so he's on the defensive" but Cael couldn't have sounded more optimistic long term about him.

To be honest, Ben is the best Flo has over there. He's just a goofball that seems to be enjoying life and loves wrestling. He's a Missou guy but although a PSU hater at times it's clear he respects Cael and his staff. And besides, others hating on PSU is a sure sign they are doing it right.

Now that being said, I am asking you all to nominate me to be the one that gets to taser Ben. That could be so much f*n...

The guy who doesn't prepare and mails it in, is the best Flo has over there.

Not disputing, but it does say a lot.
