Why "Social Media" is great....

It kept me somewhat sane during that period and I haven't been able to just break away. As I now have weird relationships with people from all over the planet trying to do quests and dumb sh!t. Its an odd social thing for me, but I enjoy it.

Sorry for the loss of your Dad. I hope your Mom shows improvement when you get her home. When my Dad had a stroke he did much better when we got him home and was able to live with either my brother and I or my sister for many years. He showed a lot of improvement on the speech and mental areas after we got him home from skilled care nursing. The therapists said he had plateau'd but my brother and I disagreed and we were right. I'm hope your Mom will feel your family's love and depression becomes a non-factor. A word of advice for you and everyone caring for your Mom is to step back every now and then and take care of yourselves.

Sorry for your loss dunkej01. I lost my Dad back in 2005 and we spent a lot of time at our cabin hunting Gobblers in the Spring. I still miss him every time I go hunting. I'm glad you have a son to hunt with now. Prayers for your Mom too with her stroke recovery.🙏

That's a rough few months there, Dunk, and a lot for anyone to have on their plate. My condolences on you dad and hang in there with mom, at-home caregiving is hero level stuff.

The greco side is so incredibly bad with drug use. It's infuriating. And that goes for any athlete. It's all very clear and the fact that you didn't get an exemption is a TERRIBLE excuse.

I would like to see a regular PSU v OSU series as well as a somewhat regular PSU v NCST or VATech match.

Suriano's injury I think was the last PSU OSU match.

I’ve said this before, but I personally would be fine if we only saw Lehigh every two or three years, which might open things up a bit for the non-conference part of the Plan™ for some other, stiffer dual competition like this.

I have always appreciated your insight and perspective in your postings. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of you father and the struggles your mom is having. I can relate to much of what you shared. My wife and I lost both of our parents in the past few years and both of our mothers had strokes preceding a transition to hospice. Life can be hard and sad.

Similar to you with war games, I started playing on-line chess to the point where I eventually had 3-4 games going at a time. It started out to be a pleasant diversion to help me cope with the struggles of life, but it started to become an obsession and created anxiety. I’m not suggesting that is your situation, but eventually I stopped playing chess completely and it seemed like a great weight was lifted from me.

I started to share my difficulties with a few close friends and discovered that in many ways, we were all dealing with various struggles. As we supported one another our friendship grew and our burdens didn’t seem quite so overwhelming. We also read scriptures and prayed for one another.

I share this simply because so much of what you shared with the board is a story that all of us have or will experience in some fashion.

Hang in there brother, seek out friends, be careful of too many war games, and rest in the Lord. He will help you carry every burden you experience. My prayers are that the Lord will supply all of your needs.

A home meet with OkSt would be great. An away meet would suck. Only fans with Flo subscriptions would see it. Folks were just posting about how Cael is trying to make PSU wrestling profitable. I’m not sure a home and home with OkSt, with the travel expense of the away match, and lack of TV revenue given OkSt’s contract with Flo, helps achieve profitability. We already sell out regardless of home opponent.

This is a great point. Considering Cael’s tepid (at best) relationship w FLO, you have to wonder if that is a factor in scheduling.

An away meet at Bako State, Cal Poly or Cal Baptist would be better. (I'm not biased at all...)

One of the trips to California, as I recall it, was a promise made to Nevills (edit: or was it McIntosh?) I’m sure it’s also helpful in recruiting in one of the top wrestling states (California) to wrestle there.

I just don’t see a benefit to the PSU program or its fans in wrestling at Stillwater.

You're half way correct. Both McIntosh and Nevills. Btw, the Bako State meet inspired my son #3 to get into wrestling.
