History may not repeat, but it sure does rhyme. I work with a guy very active in Lion's Club, I think he had a vision and screamed "NO" when she did that. At least he felt a disturbance in the force.
Something similar to this happened a few years ago in D10. A first year senior wrestler named Connor Overman of Conneaut went out for the team seemingly on a whim. He ended up going 32-12 and taking 6th at AA states at 220lbs

After I graduated PSU, I coached at Bergen Catholic. We had a stud football player who had last wrestled in 8th grade come out for the team senior year after football ended. He was a gifted athlete and I wrestled with him everyday. He ended up making it to states, and had the number one seed first round. Took the kid to OT before finally falling by 1 point. (Edit: No wrestlebacks in Jersey at the time) My favorite kid I ever coached.

Some highlights: Cael said Carter has been sick for over a month but is getting better. Nagao is recovering from his bout of sickness as are several others on the team and that may impact the line-up this week's dual. Bernie is still working on improving his conditioning. Van Ness is doing well in his recovery.
Maybe I got it wrong, but I interpreted this as Bernie should be pushing harder in his matches because his conditioning is good, and can be a weapon if he so chooses.
