Not necessarily trick plays, just something different. It's one thing to go right at teams like SMU & Boise because we have more size and talent. But ND only gives up 13.6 pts per game. We only scored 13 pts vs OSU. I think teams like these are difficult to run on and they're going to be all over Warren. Somehow we have to keep them off balance.

I like the idea of using Warren as a decoy and passing to Reynolds more often. I also like the idea of using Singleton in the slot or on wheel routes. The other thing is pass on 1st down. Things will be difficult for Allar if he's forced to pass on 3rd and 7.

Something different? Slants, screens, or any fast developing pattern with quick throw would be nice. ND is going to bring the heat and we had no answer for it last game.

I don't think ND has faced a power-run offense like ours all season. The exception could be GA but GA had no QB so it was easy to pack in the defenders to stop the run. I think we'll see unique formations but still run the same basic plays.

I've read that ND has a very successful punt block formation but is very susceptible to fake punts. I also think AK will throw in one trick play in the first half to keep ND honest and not be able to sell out in pursuit from the backside. If we fall behind, I expect they'll unload every trick play they have. But a lot of this is from reads made in the press box by the offensive coaching staff. Last game, against Boise, we threw long on third and short several times. I expect that was because the staff saw how Boise was defending third and long and thought they had an opportunity but we just didn't execute.

I don't think we'll see many all new plays, but new formations, personnel groupings and motion. AK will switch or motion a TE or Singleton to a position where typically you see a WR and put the WR elsewhere. We are looking to create match ups and cause one on one's where we want them.

Kevin Horne lost his mind when Landon Tengwall told him that the staff had nothing to do with the fake punt call vs Minnesota. He said it was all Dom Rulli.

New Abdul Carter package on offense. If Hunter can play both sides, so can Abdul.

I don't know why UGA is thought of as a power running team but they are 102nd in the country in rushing yards per game.

I’d like to see a run on 3rd and two rather than a long downfield pass that takes too long to develop. That would be a brand new play for us. I’d also like to see some screen passes and Singleton wheel routes.

plus, going deep a couple of times helped to keep the safeties "honest". Would surprise me if we did the same thing tonight to keep NDs #0 back from the LOS a little bit

my brother pointed out that AK may have been playing Chess. In other words, playing to show ND something rather than running up the score on Boise. And if we did, so be it.

They will try to rattle Alar early and often I hope coach K has prepared for that and Alar is ready.

No, we will see Penn State blow Notre Dame off the line of scrimmage to get down inside the 10 and then throw high risk fade passes into the end zone likely resulting in field goals.

The new play was underthrowing a goalline pylon pass into triple coverage, expecting yet another trick, miracle catch by 44.
It worked, drawing a flag.
