Hope he heals up quick from the surgery he's having today. 57kg tokyo2020 are his goals and he's already at weight.

Does everyone here follow twitter? Did they see it on twitter? The short answer for both those questions is no. So I shared it here wishing him well . maybe I missed where you had this posted on here earlier..

You are missing the point. I'm guessing you are doing that on purpose. Your original post didn't mention that Nico posted this on Twitter. You acted as if you had personal knowledge of the situation.

I read it on Instagram not Twitter at 6:15am. It's cool tho I posted the photo of it :)

I'm with NoVa on this one. It's getting tougher & tougher to give you the benefit of the doubt that you're just:
a. doing sloppy internetting and not:
b. doing bad-faith internetting

Your original post made no reference to anything you had read posted publicly elsewhere. By itself it implies (you do the implying, we do the inferring) that you are breaking the news. Is that just sloppy oversight--to not link the Insta post you later pasted a pic of--right out of the gate, inside your OP?

Or just bad-faith posting, knowing you can obfuscate / apologize / emoji-ize later?

Be a little better with your internetting please, or lose the benefit of the doubt.

Noted, Thanks

I'd add another suggestion. There is a thread titled Why Twitter is Great. It could be more accurately titled Why Social Media Is Great, as Instagram posts work there as well.

Everyone has a different threshold as to what is so newsworthy that it requires a unique thread, and what can go into the social media thread. IMO, if something is announced on social media, 95-99% of the time it doesn't deserve its own thread, but perhaps my numbers are off. Even if you think it's worthy of its own thread, if a social media announcement is posted in the Why Twitter ... thread, pretty much everyone on the board will see it, and there are often discussions within that thread about the social media announcements.

Enough with this level-headed civility and acceptance of criticism business already!

What are they saying on HR about this (or any) topic?

What’s your take of the week on Goodale?

Speaking of that “Twitter “ thread, Tom, half the time I cant find it.

Anyone else notice this?

EDIT— 2:30 and the thread is missing.

To your 1st point: about the only time it goes off the 1st page, for me, is if there is a crazy amount of action taking place (say, NCAA championships).

If you can't find it, I'd suspect your settings are set to something other than the default. And if you can't find it, you can always use the Search feature and find it in pretty much no time

To your 2nd point, it appears the "Twitter" thread will be permanently missing, as either @dunkej01 edited the Subject lint and replaced "Twitter" with "social media," or someone with Administrator rights did that (It wasn't me).

Wasn't me either.

It must have been that mystery Admin who according to HR loves the ban hammer.

What exactly prompted Nico to text you? He was busy reading this board and saw you being ripped and wanted to raise your spirits?

If that's the case, I'm not sure which part of that I find the most absurd.

Nah, we actually msg each other often
