Not if they play the type of defense they played last week. Completely dominated the MSU O. Story of the game. Scored on a 66 yard fumble return and set up 2 other short field TDs by forcing turnovers. They only rushed for 3 yards a carry themselves, but held MSU to under 3 ypc. O'Connor had a QBR of 25.2.

Yea, no doubt, Wisco's far from "lighting it up" on the ofensive side of the ball - through 4 games they have the 3rd worst YPC average at 3.9 YPC (only NW and PSU are worse). Wisco is getting it done with defense, but I'm not sure that is going to be enough this w/e as scUM's defense is more than a match for Wisconsin's bland and uninspiring offense.
Their offense has sucked eggs all year......despite the fact that they've had 10 (if my count is correct) 3rd through 5th year OL to chose from, and a half-dozen young guys, to harvest their starting 5 from.
Actually, considering they played an elite LSU D, and a good MSU D, those numbers are fine.
They physically handled both LSU and Michigan State up front. They have no playmakers, yet they move the chains and they win football games. Four redshirt sophomores, wow, I thought under classmen were just not developed enough to play at this level??????????
The players that you have been bitching the most about not being started are Menet (true freshman) and McGovern (EE true freshmen) not RS sophomores. That is two years difference.
I am truly sorry your friends/cousins did not work out at the D1 level. Not my fault.
4 Juniors is a problem? I wish PSU had that problem. 9 of their starters on O are in at least their 3rd year (4 in their 4th year) and I think it is 10 on Defense(6 in at least their 4th year). Yeah...real "young" team there. A team that had 3 losses last year with one being to Bama. So basically a 2 loss team for the most part with a TON of players who are in at least their 3rd year on campus.
That 2014 OL class for Wisky AVERAGED about 6-5/6-6 and 300 pounds coming into college. They had a class of 5 in 2014 with no sanctions. PSU brought in 3 guys who weighed all of 260 pounds that year and Wright who is currently on the second team. If you are saying they recruited better at OL than PSU did during the heart of the sanctions, you made a brilliant point. Who would have thought that? OB bailed on PSU and Franklin had ONE MONTH to bring in ANY OL he could. The 2 years before PSU brought in 4 OL total. TOTAL,,,,4 in 2 years. Only 2 are still on the team and Stanko and Hartman never worked out. 2 Scholarship OL in 2 classes and people are confused by the lack of OL production at PSU. PSU really has some fans who simply do not get it at all in any way.
How is it people really can't understand that PSU recruiting did suffer 3-4 years ago and it is showing up still? Let's see what PSU's OL looks like the next 2-3 years as I bet somehow it starts looking like a legit OL. Fries, Menet, McGovern, Bates, Jenkins(still just a RS frosh), Gonzalez(RS frosh), and Alex G. Then you see Martin, Thorpe, and Miranda who shouldn't have to be rushed into early PT hopefully and will buy time to develop like most OL need.

You must have early onset dementia. I have told you multiple times that I have no connection to any player or coach on the team.
I think Michigan wins it just cause Harbaugh is a better coach then Cryst, but considering Wisky is battle tested this year with the wins over LSU and MSU, Michigan is going to be in for a game.

I feel the opposite. That LSU win wasn't so huge and neither was the MSU game. I think it is a close game, but UM will win.
Wisconsin's offense looked much better with West Chester's own Hornibrook at QB. He should have started from Game 1. Not sure if Wisky can win, their offense should look better than the first few games.
I take it you didn't read the rest of that post. Not surpised though. Only one was actually offered early on and he weighed 260. That was the same class that had no coach with OB leaving and Franklin taking over on 1/9. What about his OL recruiting since then. 2 of his recruits are already playing. It tells you where those guys are at.
UW's Junior OL averaged around 300 pounds coming into college and averaged 6-5 to 6-6.. Sorrell, Brosnan, and and Beh each had well over 30+ pounds to add. I think Beh it was closer to 45 pounds according to an article about this this summer. Good call...try researching this stuff on your own. I think this site really only has a few that follow college football. The rest are here to discuss the BoT and JZ I guess.
Four high school guys who average 6'61/2" and 270 pounds are too small! Too small, I tell ya!
Yet Garry Gilliam comes in as a 6'6" and 260 pound tight end and becomes a starting NFL tackle.

It's almost as if coaching has something to do with it.
So every 270 pound kid is a lock for the NFL. Just needs the right coach. Got it. Good call yet again!!! Keep trying though!!! I'm not sure if you are this dumb or if it is an act? Every exception is now the rule!!!! Awesome angle to take. All walk on DE's will now be AA's at PSU due to good coaching!!!

We've had 2 different OL coaches. One is now the OL coach at Auburn and the current one had some success at Minnesota before coming here. We've had 2 OCs, each with their own system and Moorhead has had a lot of success with his. You don't think maybe, the players who were recruited during the worst of the scandal and sanctions, just aren't that good.
First, take it up with Rivals who rated all four linemen as three stars (also, I hate the way this board is constantly denigrating the players for what are essentially coaching failures).
Second, O'Brien and his staff were in the same position and produced several linemen who went on to play in the NFL.
Third, you're not seriously comparing the Patriot League with the Big Ten, are you?

EXACTLY! Wisconsin's defense is good, but you can't win games against other really good teams who are good on both sides of the ball with offense like that regardless of how well your defense plays as demonstrated by yesterday. I think Wisconsin will some additional games because their offense is so off the charts putrid (were seeing this exact same dynamic with Iowa who is returning a veteran team, a good defense, but an absolutely awful offense). Actually, the team we played yesterday is the type of team that could beat these types of defense-only teams. Minny is very solid on both sides of the LOS -- not off-the-charts great on both sides, but very good and consistently good on both sides of the ball (just a solid fundamental football team).
Spot on. Surely, our fans can remember the 2004 season when PSU played solid D and had an anemic O. The overall result was not good. The 2004 season was lowlighted by the infamous 6-4 Iowa loss. PSU did not give up more than 21 points in a game that season and finished 4-7. In the 7 losses they gave up 21,16,16,21,6,20,14 points = 16 ppg.
