Use to be if you’re a top 10-15 pick you’d sit out the bowl game. Now if you’re able to be drafted in top 5 rounds you sit out the bowl game. NFL needs to move the combine back a few months. That would encourage player to stay longer and prepare for the combine. Shits outta control right now.

Penn State would have been 10-2 with a healthy Clifford. At worst. No way they lose to Iowa, Illinois, or M$U. Could have beaten O$U and Michigan, too. That’s what made the season so frustrating. We all knew the Achilles heal going into the season. I guess the coaches didn’t. How to cover for it? Develop a competent backup and have a bloody running game. They had an elite defense. Very disappointing.

Now it is if you are senior and have a pulse then sit out. I think I read that the intramural teams are sitting their senior players for their playoffs. Don't want to tweak something for their 40 year desk jobs they have to look forward to in their future.
