Are there really trans athletes in W VB or are you joking?Penn State needs to recruit some trans athletes. I don't understand the reluctance to take advantage of the system that has been set up.
Would men even beat women? My cousins all played volleyball and the girls would always beat the boys at family gatherings. The girls went on to become division 1 athletes with one of them becoming an all American at Temple. Interestingly she had an offer from Russ Rose but chose the Owls and ended up beating PSU in the sweet 16 that year. Are there really trans athletes in W VB or are you joking?
Yes, the men would destroy the women as they would in basketball. I dont follow volleyball close but I was told that the mens game is not entertaining to watch because the points are too fast. That is why their matches do not draw the interest that the womens do. They should think about raising the nets or using a larger ball in the mens game to slow it down some.Would men even beat women? Yeah - they’ve outgrown the court. Similar to men’s hard court tennis - especially after new racket technology.Yes, the men would destroy the women as they would in basketball. Yep, watched a few mens games. A lot more service aces. And if the receiving team was able to handle the serve and get a good set it was usually a point. Ball very rarely crossed the net twice after a serve. Which means about ten seconds or less of game action followed by thirty seconds of players celebrating and positioning.Yes, the men would destroy the women as they would in basketball. Yupp correct on both accountsYeah - they’ve outgrown the court. Similar to men’s hard court tennis - especially after new racket technology.
There’s another reason Women’s VB outdraws the men …
Agreed. As a poster previously posted, the men's game has become about physicality. The woman's game is much more about strategy. This is also true of basketball and soccer to name two. Women simply would not be able to match up to the physicality. For example, PSU's men's team features men from 6-8 to 6-0 (only one is 6-0, the next shortest is 6-2). The tallest women's players are 6-3 with seven gals at or under 5'9".Yep, watched a few mens games. A lot more service aces.
