5 years $110 million I guess Love would return for that LOL
That makes him a $22m per year player. However, if the cap goes up 30%, that may be cheap. His other option was to sign a one-year deal (with a player option for 17). However, he opted for the long term deal. May be a good idea, given his shoulder, to gain the security. He is also considered quite good looking and got a lot of endorsement money for one year with a contender. If he plays well, watch for him to make a ton on endorsements.
Boy, the numbers you're seeing take your breath away. Tyson Chandler 4 years, $52M. Jimmy Butler (a very, very fine player who I could see becoming another Manu) 5 years, $90M. It seems as if there's an attempt to lock people up before the TV money comes in next year and contracts go through the roof. I'm not complaining, understand, it's never a man's fault if he's overpaid.
Not exactly germane to this topic, but I recall you posting about Craig Ehlo on this board, years ago. It is not until you see a professional play or practice that you realize the level of talent it takes to play in the NBA. I played pickup with Dale Ellis when he was at Tennessee, I know what I'm talking about.Right. As one free agent once said 'I used to feel bad about how much money I was making; then I realized someone had enough money to pay it'.

Yeah, I would scrimmage with women All-Americans at Tennessee, didn't embarrass myself. They just don't have the hops.Meanwhile a buddy and I beat 2 WNBA players at the IM building in 2 on 2, and it wasn't close.
to long term deals. Love is confirming. that means the big three (James, Love, Irving) and in. Plus Thompson.
Now they are working on Shumpert and several wing players.
Looks like Shumpert is in, too. Glad to see it, Obli, and I hope Kyrie can stay healthy, as durability has been somewhat of a problem.
I was a little surprised to see their trade in the draft; I thought Tyus Jones of Duke, selected at that slot in the 1st round, could help them as a backup PG. Instead, they traded with the T-Wolves and picked up 2 early 2nd rounders in Osman from Europe and Rakeem Christmas (saw him play some in the ACC. and I think he can make the team).
Love to see LeBron and company bring one home.
