Would you go watch Penn State football games in a movie theater?

I would not watch in a theatre. I like to watch PSU and Phillies with just my sons. I get hyper focused and like to follow stats. All the extra people would just distract me. I would watch other games in a theatre but not Phillies/PSU.
I know it sounds weird
Not weird at all….when I watch a PSU game I am completely into it and don’t want distractions. My wife knows to stay away.

Would such a theater allow us to pull out our phones so we can log into the in-game thread here to both fire Franklin and the starting qb?

I saw Hagler/Hearns that way, but not in a movie theater, in a civic center.

Yep, the good old days. I was there.

I think that could be a lot of fun. Especially the new theaters with lounge chairs and good food available. I'd certainly consider it.

Will be watching tonight from a Suite w food and beer listening to Aerosmith at Wells Fargo Center. A neighbor compted me an unused corporate suite. Guests are half family and half work friends. Our cost for 12 is $0, only gas and parking.

Even with that, I almost declined b/c I prefer to watch our games either in person or at home, following my rituals: grilling, sitting on my chair w numerical roster listing names, hometowns, high school, and year. Slowly beering to build buzz to kickoff.

I've set to record the game to review tomorrow. My wife is excited for the show- we'll see how it goes.

It’s a cool concept…though for me personally I enjoy watching sports in the peace and quiet of comfort of home…got my little sports den hooked up…can prepare my own food etc.

They did this for WVU and Pitt a several years ago. I just thought it was odd. There were people cheering Lets go Mountaineers and I am like the team can not hear you. They showed it during the game. Odd.

Just me, but I really don’t like going to the theater to watch a movie. For a PSU game, give me my back deck, a fire, friends, and some drinks.
I went to Aerosmith in a Suite last night hoping to bribe the attendant to allow tv to stay on ....no dice. She said all boxes wanted either PSU or Phillies but not allowed so area has a consisyent lo9k. All lights in suites dimmed automatically when music started.

Watched a bit on the dude sitting next suite overs phone. It buffered a lot. Switched to CBS Gametracker and kept up w play by play pretty well.

The shpw was nice and for some of our guests it was maybe the highlight of their year. I'm ok w the band, but cherish my PSU football Saturdays my way too much to make that mistake again.

FWIW I did wear a PSU home 3 jetsey with ballcap. Many "We Are's" .Gonna watch the tape later this morning. Go Staye.

I would like that. Especially if they had and beverage service.

I behave better with company but without I tend to get on the stationary bike and pedal away or throw up some weights or pace around the room like some kind of caged animal.
I would only take part if Obliviax was there! He needs friends!!!!!!

My wife knows to stay away....regardless! 😉
My wife decided to watch the game with me last night…she lasted about a quarter and a half then gave up and went upstairs. You’d think she would have learned by now.

Why in the world would I pay to sit in a movie theater to watch a sporting event when I can sit in my private box with a big screen TV, refrigerator full of snacks, beer and several bottles of good bourbon!

Another reason -- no screaming and squirming kids or idiots jumping up for some unknown reason.
