Your best round of golf, course and score:

I could not agree more. I will play this course in the summer at 4pm during the week after work and it is only $22 bucks. Easily play 18 holes before the sun sets. I dare someone to find a public course that is a better deal with the same quality of play haha.

Wilkes-Barre Muni used to be the best...talk about people ruining a course. You couldn't pay me to play there now. Don't like Sand Springs at all, try StoneHedge in Tunkhannock...great track.

It's sad how bad wilkes-barre muni got. That course won't be around much longer IMO. Our home course in college was stone hedge so I logged a lot of hours there. I love the course but I dont miss walking 18 holes a day there especially when it was very hot outside. Hole number 2 there is still one of the hardest golf holes I ever came across.

I second everything you said here, especially Stonehedge

I loved Stonehedge, although I only got to play it once.....with a score above 110.

Played WB Muni a few times, and it was pretty chewed up with weeds/crabgrass in the fairways.

If you ever get the chance, play Mountain Valley near Barnesville--great cheap course(s) there.

Edgewood in the Pines also isn't a bad layout either.

Other playable courses in the area include Liberty Valley (Danville), Frosty Valley (Danville), and Belles Springs (Mill Hall/Lock Haven).

Congressional (Blue Course)

Played the year after Rory owned the course. Showed me just how amazing the pros are. The greens were lightning fast and the rough was very deep, and that was under regular club conditions, not USGA. Almost couldn't find a ball in the rough 5 ft from a green it was so deep. While I shot in the triple digits I did birdie the par 3, #10 over the water. Had about a 20 ft downhill breaker for birdie and just didn't want to put it down in the water or hit it too soft that I still had a downhill putt. My caddie pointed to where to hit and damn was he right. Couldn't never hit that putt again in 100 tries.

Coming down the fairway on 18 looking the clubhouse is just amazing.
