Under Joe Paterno, Penn State won at least one:
Fiesta, Rose, Cotton, Sugar and Orange Bowl.

Under James Franklin thus far, Penn State has won at least one:
Fiesta, Rose, Cotton and a college football playoff game.

How many Penn State NY6 major bowl games and/or playoff games have you witnessed in person?
I have seen a playoff, Cotton Bowl and a Rose Bowl victory and hopefully will see an Orange Bowl victory (I know Boise State! Boise State! Boise State!)

What about you?

LSU - Orange Bowl, not sure of year. Believe Chuck Heard made fabulous catch and I think Tom Sherman was QB. Please correct me.

Been to every bowl since ‘05. Prior to that saw wins at the ‘70 Orange, ‘74 Orange and ‘95 Rose.
1986(87) Fiesta Bowl. Scalped tickets from a Miami fan. My loud wife and the quiet couple in front of us were the only remaining people near us at the end of the game. (Penn State fans as they asked us to take a picture of them with score)

I have only attended the 1983 Sugar bowl. I went out on top

The #1 play in Penn State football history was the Blackledge to Garrity TD pass and catch. Both of them should never have to buy their own beer ever in the state of Pennsylvania.
Moment of truth time. What was better, the throw our the catch?

I say the catch

Kudos to all that have supported the team at these bowl games thru the years - in person. Sadly for me, none :( Too poor when I was younger.....and too old and lazy now that I'm older. I can't remember ever missing a game on TV, but that doesn't count.

87 Fiesta and 95 Rose. I still feel bad the 94 team was shafted out of a National Championship. That team was super talented on offense. Three players drafted in 1st ten picks of that NFL class, Carter, Collins and Brady. Two Lb drafted and in following draft both guards, Rivera & Hartings, reciever Engram.

I had 4 tickets to that game 2 for me and my wife an 2 for a friend and his wife. I no idea where either set was in the stadium. It wasn't like today where you can easily find the seat location so I guessed. Turns out the two I gave my friend were on the 50 and ours were in the endzone. The good in that was that the Garrity catch was right in front of us. My wife screamed so much I thought she was going to pass out
